Miss Cooper, leader of Troop 6, has been connected with girl scounting for 16 years; Mrs. Charles Ashworth for 14 years; Mrs. G. H. Mueller was a leader 14 years ago and is now a committee member.

Mrs. William Heinz is one of the original Girl Scouts here and Miss B. Eva Hoehn has been leader in Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin motion picture'houses. The entire proceeds of the midnight shows will be turned over to the Greek War Relief Association, along with the personal contributions which will be made by theater men. I Wienshlenk, manager of the Grand, states further that the entire theater staff is contributing its services to make this benefit midnight show an outstanding entertainment event.

A. Gieseking, who died in Grand Haven, were held Saturday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church, with the pastor, the Rev. W. F. Efrig, officiating.

Powell. Burial was in Oakwood, cemetery. Daniel Roberts, Greenfield, Dies GREENFIELD, March 24, Russell Shields conducted two inquests over the weekend. The first was at the Shields funeral home Saturday morning following the sudden death of Daniel J. Roberts, 82, at his home Friday evening.

The jury returned a verdict of death caused by heart trouble. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethlehem Tabernacle here this afternoon at 2:30 by the Rev. Florence Cluney. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery. Roberts moved here from Hettick about a year ago.

He was born In Kentucky, a son of William and Eliza Roberts, and married Frances J. Allen in 1881; He is survived by his wife and. the following children: William, at home; Rufus and Alonzo of Kentucky; Mrs. Medora Basham and Mrs. Cova Robinson of Alton; John of Plainview; Noah of Brighton; Daniel of Seattle, Charles of Bethalto and Mrs.

Maude Tarrant of Hettick. On Sunday afternoon Shields conducted an inquest in Carrollton following the death of Mrs. Emma Samuels, 89, who died at her home there Sunday. She had fallen on Feb. 28 and broken her hip.

Leg Fractured Word was received here last week that Miss Anna Goldsberry of Rock Island, who teaches Latin in the Moline high school, received a compound fracture to her left leg when she slipped on the ice last Sunday, when returning from church. Miss Goldsberry taught Latin in the local high school for a number of years.
