James Dooley gave a party Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Brown, entertaining In the Interest of tho Ur- aullne Academy building fund. Eight guests were in attendance and spent the afternoon playing cards. Favors were given to Mrs. Dooley, Mrs.

Lotto Party at Clifton Terrace Tonight A lotto party will be given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rosenberg at Clltion Terrace tonight nnd the proceeds from tho party will go towards tho Clifton Terrace road. Visitors to the lotto party tonight will' drive down to the Kllbagio gates and then up the front road to the Rosenberg residence, which la at tho extremes west end of Clifton Terrace Refreshments will bo served and favors will bo awarded. Bridge was played for an hour or two and was followed by the enjoyment of delicious refreshments. Miss Black presented a gift to Miss O'Sul- llvan, as guest of honor, and favora to Miss Vine and Miss Laura Bigham, who scored high at bridge.

Jllss Blanche Maxeiner to Become Bride, The marriage of Miss Blanche Maxeiner of the American "Railway Express office, to Oscar J. Paul, well known mail carrier, Is to be an event of the next few days, though all the details are being kept secret. Miss Maxelner departed last night for some distant point to spend her vacation and Mr. Paul Is expected to leave this evening and the belief of their friends is that they will meet in Chicago and be married there. The groom today refused to give any confirmation of the report that the marriage would take place during his vacation from his post as mall carrier, but he would not deny it.

Both were expecting to be back here In about ten days and before returning they will make a trip on the lakes. PERSONAL H. C. Injured In San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hngerman received a letter yesterday from the Taylor family of San Diego, stating; that Henry Taylor and Frank Morrison were both injured in an auto wreck In that city several days ago while driving In the Taylor machine.

Henry Taylor suffered a broken collar bone and two fractured ribs, and at the time tho letter was written was still in tho hospital. Frank Morrison suffered injuries in his back, however was taken to his homo after tho accident. Both parties are well known former North'Sidera and their friends hope that their recovery will bo a speedy one. Elm Street Presbyterian 'Church. Lloyd Elliott, the grocer, has recovered after a brief illness at his home on State street. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Elfgen of California, who have been visiting at the home of his mother and other relatives for several weeks have gone to Chicago where they will visit Fred Elf- Ken and family for several days. They will leave Chicago on Labor Day for their home.

Mrs. Elizabeth Logsden, of Springfield, is visiting nt the homo of her son, A. Logsden on State street for several days. Frleijds and relatives have received cards from Dr. and Mrs.
