During the -evening there will also be an exchange of gifts. 90 Percent of Building Funds Already Paid Wood River Church to Dedicate Structure in January WOOD RIVER, Dec. percent of the money pledged for remodelling of the (United Brethren Church, a project that has been under way since early last summer, has been collected, it was announced at a meeting of the church members Wednesday night. Extensive remodelling of the church was done with the exterior style of architecture being changed and enlargement of the interior and other improvements.

A stoker has been installed and women of the Fidelis class are now working to collect money for new carpeting for the church. A fund of $65 has already been secured for this project and in the neighborhood of $20 more is needed. Dedication of the newly-remodeled building is scheduled for some time in January, but the exact date has not been set, pending word from a high church official whom the pastor and congregation are anxious to bring to Wood River for the event. Work is now under way for Christmas programs at the church.
