Big Ballot Farm Property Tax Is Special Issue HARRrSBURG (AP) A light turnout of some 35-to-40 per cent of eligible voters are expected to go to the polls in tomorrow's primary election in which hundreds of candidates will be nominated for offices. No strong state wide interest has developed in this perhaps typical off-year primary election.

The major issue, statewide, is a proposed con-stitutional amendment question aimed at relieving farmers of soaring property taxes and halting the decline Of open space. ON the bench, two seats each are up on Superior Court the second-highest appellate court in the state and Com-monwealth Court. No Surprises are expected. Six counties will decide Whether to form commissions to study home rule.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. in 9,617 locations. Eligible to vote are 2,914,398 Democrats against 2,597,933 Republicans. Some 170,000 registered Constitutional, nonpartisan or other parties may vote on the consitutional question only.

STATE election officials figure the average turnout of about 35-40 per cent will show up against this year rising to about 50 per cent in Pittsburgh. Gov. Milton J. Shapp has embraced the constitutional-amendment question and little organized opposition has surfaced. The change would break down the current constitutional barrier to taxing farmland differently than other land.

Many people have the mistaken belief that a will Is only for the rich. This simply is not so.

Very often our total worldly worth is far more than we realize. And if we have children, then indeed we can do them a terrible disservice, regardless of our financial status, if we die without a will. St. Francis de Sales said: "One of the first duties of a Christian is the early drawing of a will." That's even more true today so that a will may be the most important single document you'll sign in your lifetime. For this reason It is important that it be drawn in accordance with the laws of your state, and therefore should be prepared by a competent attorney.

Here's where we can be of help. We have on hand an authoritative 12-page booklet that has been written by an attorney: "PLANNED GIVING ESTATE PLANNING GUIDE." It points out important things that you should know before you see your attorney. We will be happy to send you a copy of this booklet free without obligation.
