Alrplan Soars Over Roxana and Wood River. For several days an airplane has been noticed soaring over Roxana and Wood River advertising Lucky Strike tobacco. The words Lucky IHrike Is formed in the air with smoke. Many people had the opportunity of seeing this stunt performed in mid-air, and tho plane and occupant attracted quite a bit of attention. Traband Machine Run Into.

Monday evening Gustavo Traband drove tho Traband Ford car to the Community High school where he attended a rehearsal for their coming class play. He parked the car in front of L. G. Osborne's home on Wood River avenue. A Mr.

Roberts from Upper Alton, ran into the Tra band car and smashed the front end of both cars. The lights were turned off of the Ford. No one was injured. Chicken Supper a Big Success. Tho chicken supper given last nlghl was a huge success.

Many people attended and enjoyed the deiiciously cooked chicken supper which was served in the church basement. B. Y. P. U.
