Mrs. Raaf, who is a member of the choir, was before her marriage Miss Agnes Lowe. Miss Ethel Schlrf Weds St. Louisian Miss Ethel Scharf of 3722 Hartford street, St. Louis, became the bride ol Lowry Horrell, a machinist of the St Louis Bod and Springs Company yes terday morning.

The wedding took place at St. Margaret's Catholic Church. The bride was accompanied to the altar by a large bridal party. Miss Scharf was attired in white taffeta with a bridal veil. Her two bridesmaids wore blue and pink georgette gowns with hats to match.

Two groomsmen and the little flower gir! completed the bridal party. A wedding breakfast followed the nuptial mass and was served at the bride's home. The house was lovely in its decorations. Community High School Play May 18 The members of the Senior clans ol the Community High school are very busy making preparations for the presentation of their class play on Monday evening, May 16th, entitled "Varsity Coach." August Frey avo a surprise Party last evening in honor of Mrs Ben Tuscher and her husband, August Frey's birthdays. The party was given at tho home of Mrs. Ben Tuscher. ITU Louise Rlngering and son, Harry, Mr and Mrs. John Ireland and family and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jutting and family, Ed. Balster, Seriously Injured Ed Balstor, a well known farmer east of town, is in a very critical condition at his home, suffering from injuries received yesterday In Wood River.

Mr. Balster had driven to Wood River in his farm wagon on business, and as he went to get back on the wagon by stepping on the tongue of the wagon, the horses started up, throwing him under the wagon. The wheels passed over his face and chest fracturing both jaw bones and it is feared that he is injured internally. Mr. Balster was taken to his home immediately and medical aid was given.

Woelfor died in East St. Louis' at four o'clock, last Monday morning, at the Evangelical lleaconess hospital following an operation for appendicitis which morning.
