Director Sereni. The Bowdoin College Glee Club from Maine will present a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in Red Clay Creek Presbyterian 500 McKennans Church Road, Newport.

The public is invited without charge. The Delaware concert is one of seven which the 25-member glee club will present during a five-state tour. The club's director, Prof. Donald G. Caldwell, said programs include sacred and secular Renaissance music, works by Donna J.

Dixon, new director of music at the Newark United Methodist Church, will present an organ and vocal recital at the church, 69 E. Main at 4 p.m. Sunday. Miss Dixon previously was director of music and Chris-tian education at First Presbyterian Church, Lans-downe, Pa. A native of Huntington, W.

she received several awards and was graduated magna cum laude from Wittenberg Bach, Haydn and Brahms and contemporary selections. The Bowdoin Glee Club, made up -of 13 male and 12 female voices, dates from the 1800s. Since 1947, it has appeared annually with the Boston Pops. Variety Show The annual variety show by the Band Boosters of John Dickinson High School, will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium, 1801 Milltown Road.

Taking part will be the Banjo Dusters, the Shue School Folk Singers, the Stanton Ele-'mentary School Drum and Flag Corps, the Dickinson Stage Band, Peter Wool on the Dickinson theater organ and assorted skits. 'Sound of Music' Students of St. Elizabeth's High School will present the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, "The Sound of Music," at 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday in the school audito She received her masters of sacred music degree from UPnion Theogical Seminary in New York City in 1971.
