County Democrat Nashville, Indiana Gentlemen: a reply to your Inquiry Issue of the Democrat date of Juue 3rd, relative tG Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Brown county will say that there Is at least oue buried within the confines of the county. Within the small well kept Taylor cemetery in Hamblen township, one mile north of the Tuggart school house lies buried Job Hamblen and his wife, Eleanor.

He served three years, from 177!) to 17S2. in the Virginia State Militia and took part in the campaign against Lord Cornvvallis when he invaded Virginia. Was present at the siege and surrender of Vorktown. October. He moved to vhat is now- Brown county in 1n-'." and settled on the farm wive re he is buried.

He died September 1. The grave is marked by a splendid monument erected in litl'X by his descendants.
