Yet he is now in Rome acting in two movies simultaneously "The Adventures of Gerard" and "Monte Carlo Rally." His actings future appears unhampered by his handicap. When Hawkins appeared for an interview at the Grand Hotel, he seemed to be the same stalwart symbol of the British Empire as he appeared in "The Bridge on the River Kwai" and a host of other films.

And then first words. His therapist sujj throat. "It is amazing how quickly the human body can become adjusted to new conditions," he commented. "I find I can lead an almost normal life, with only a few minor vexations." Among them: the inability to clear his throat or blow his nose; little sense of smell, since hardly any air enters his nose. The return of Jack Hawkins is one of the more heartwarming stories of show business.

We made them a new way. The old way.

The traditional way of Spain and Portugal known as a Solera. The Solera's oak casks start small (Stage 4) and end big (Stage 1). By mov ing the wines into bigger and bigger casks each year, we slow down the wine's ageing in the most natur.il way we can. As we move the wines into bigger casks, we leave half of the wine back in the cask to mellow the younger wine we put in. The slow and natural ageing smooths the wines.

The blending makes them mellow. The oak casks give them t'ie rich, nutty flavor that lives so well in snerrics and ports. Sherry, Dry Cocktail Sherry, Cream Sherry, Port or Tawny Port.
