PRICHARD and JEFF SHIELDS The Journal News SLEEPY HOLLOW Janeiro Feliz, the pizza deliveryman who killed two men and critically wounded a third in a shotgun rage, was apparently poised to attack his ex-girlfriend before he took his own life in a standoff with police, authorities said yesterday. "That's the thought" Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Jimmy Warren said. Feliz, 30, died Friday night in an alley three doors from the home of former girlfriend Mila-gros Garcia, who was dating Manuel Smith, the man Feliz killed in a bakery several hours earlier. A daylong manhunt for Feliz culminated in the narrow passage behind a bodega on Depeyster Street after a resident heard someone in the alley and called police. "Because of the proximity to Milagros' residence, it heightened our suspicions," Warren said.

About 25 police officers swarmed the area, prompting Feliz to fire three rounds from his shotgun and one bullet from a 9mm handgun. A Harrison police officer assisting at the crime scene also fired one shot. Feliz was killed at 6:30 p.m. by a single shot to the chest Garcia was not at home yesterday, and employees at her hair salon declined to comment Neighbors said they believed stress from the ordeal had forced her into a local hospital. The other victims in the shotgun rampage were Angel Segar-ra, an Ecuadorean man whom Feliz chased down and killed around the corner from the bakery, and Augostin Pizarro, who was in critical condition after suffering a shotgun blast to the abdomen while struggling with the gunman, police said.

Authorities were waiting for medical tests to determine whether Feliz was killed by the officer or his own gun, but powder burns on his chest indicate that it was probably a suicide, Warren said. Feliz's death marked the end of a frenzied and bloody day in the Hudson River village that is home to a considerable Latin American population. At 7:30 Frank Becerra Jr.Th Journal htews up the scene yesterday after Hollow. group meets at 2 p.m. oh the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

HOLIDAY GOODIES: The Nyack Matriculate at our Country's Finest Bakery owner Jessica Mejias cleans Friday's deadly rampage in Sleepy Feliz walked into Los Andes Bakery, also known as Valley Bakery, on Valley Street and shot Smith, 33, twice in the head without uttering a word. Feliz harbored ill feelings toward Smith, a native Chilean, and Garcia after they began dating, and he often lurked outside Mil-ly's Hairdressing on Cortlandt Street, where Garcia worked. A judge gave Smith and Garcia a joint order of protection against Feliz in July, police said.

"He was obsessed with her," said George Jara, whose sister worked at the beauty parlor with Garcia "He was always standing outside of the place while she cut hair, just watching her." Feliz worked most recently as a deliveryman for Hollywood North Pizza on Beekman Avenue. His employer, Antonio Occhicone, described him as a hard-working and friendly man who was fond of coaching youth baseball. Hospital offers support group He volunteered with baseball teams at Sleepy Hollow" High School and ran community teams' for younger children, TarrytownsJ Schools Superintendent Donald' Kusel said. Several neighbors said he once played in the minor, leagues for the Pittsburgh Pirates' organization. "He was very Ocphi-" cone said.

"He used to pop, in here when he wasn't working and say, 'Hey, Mr. When' the kids were in here, he knew' every one of them by name." 1 Tommy Dominguez, 14, who' lives in Feliz's building at 93 Wildey St and practiced on his youth baseball squad, said he-always seemed like a reasonable' person.
