WESTERN WEATHER SUMMARY ridge of high pressure extended lust north of the Hawaiian Islands eastward to British Columbia with highest pressure centered about miles west of San Francisco.

The thermal trough of low pressure from Northwestern Mexico northwestward through interior California with a low center near Needles. The onshore of marine air was moderately with considerable low cloudiness the coast from Southern Oregon south Northern Baja California. NATIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY Temperatures were warmer yesterday clouds increased and winds southwesterly over New England and Middle Atlantic States. In the Southeast temperatures remained about normal the 80s and 90s under fair skys. showers and thunderstorms were ported during the morning and afternoon.

Kent. just north of Grand reported 6.50 inches during the morning and more heavy rain was reported in Grand Rapids area during the afternoon. Heavy showers also extended westward into lowa and Eastern Nebraska southwest into Oklahoma. These showers were being touched off by another of cool air moving southward from Northern Plains. Highest temperatures were in the 60s in North Dakota cloudiness, light showers and northerly winds combined to give temperatures some 20 deg.
