(Post Herald Photo) Valentine's Dance Held KOPPERSTON (RNS) The annual valentine's Qance of the four Pineville chapters of Beta Sigrna Phi Sorority was held at the Kopperston Recreation Building Saturday evening. Music was provided by the County Addition and serving as co-chairmen were Mrs. Peggy Bladwin arid Mrs. Kathy Fox, Members of the Gamma Xi chapter were in charge of the dance.

Traditional valentine decorations of red and white were used throughout the room with a mirror orb hanging from the center of the ceiling. Tables were covered in white with red hearts on the cloths and the serving table was centered with red and white carnations accented with greenery and lighted red tapers in a white wrought-iron holder. The queens are chosen by a vote of her respective chapter. The queen and her escort walked through an archway decorated with greenery and accented with red and white hearts. The queens were seated in white wrought-iron chairs for the crowning.

Toastmistress was Mrs. Kathy Smallwood, a member of the Gamma Xi chapter. Traditional Decorations Used Traditional yellow roses, the sorority flower, was presented to each of the queens from their prospective chapters. Crowned were Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Martin of the tor Chi chapter; Dilmeda Carter, Xi Beta Epsilon chapter; Mrs.

Larry (Peggy) Baldwin. Gamma Xi chapter, and Mrs. Brooks (Aleita) Walker, Delta Xi chapter. Mrs. Martin was escorted by her husband.

Jack, and she was crowned by Mrs. Freeda "Lambert. Mrs. Dorothy Bolt presented Mrs. Martin her flowers.

Ms. Carter, escorted by Tom Burgess, was crowned by Mrs. Charlotte Goode, last year's queen. Her flowers were pfesetried by Mrs. Kay Lambert.

Mrs. Baldwin was escorted by her husband, Larry, and she was crowned by "last year's queen. Mrs. Francis Mikles. Mrs.

Renva Toler presented her flowers. Husbands Serve As Escorts Mrs. Walker, escorted by her husband, Brooks, was crowned by Mrs. Audrey Humphreys, last year's queen, and her flowers were presented by Mrs; Debbie Lackey. Attending from the Preceptor Chi chapter were Mr.

AND MRS. BERT GIBSON Feted At Dinner 69th Anniversary Marked By Couple RAIINELLE The Rev. and Mrs. Bert Gibson of Rainelle, formerly of Meadow Bridge, observed their 69 wedding anniversary with a dinner Saturday hosted by their daughter, Mrs. Lilly Ratliff, at her home in Rainelle.

Mrs. Gibson is the former Mary Eliabeth Taylor and Mr. Gibson is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gibson.

Married Feb. 19, 1908, at Rockwell, the couple has eight living children. They are Mrs Ratliff Lawrence of Baltimore, Evert, Mrs. Zeala Troglin, Mrs. Evelyn Mitchum, Mrs.

Fred Moore and Mrs. Ruby George, all of Charleston, S. and Mrs. Wanda Hart of Rupert. He served years in the ministry, worked'in the coal mines and operated a grocery store in Meadow Bridge.

They have 37 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- era ndchildren. Others present were two grandsons, Loyd and Timmy Hart, Mr. and Mrs. James Edens, Mr. and Mrs.

In 1996, the first closed circuit educational TV system used in schools was started in Hagerstown, Md. Wyoming County Women's Program Given PINEVILLE (RNS) Freeda Lambert presented the program on "Worlds of Women" during the meeting of the Mary Magdalene Circle of the United Methodut Church Tuesday evening. The meeting was held at the Pineville home of Bee Rowe.

Mildred Hays, president, announced the World Day of Prayer service will be held at the Pineville Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. March 4. Plans were discuned for the study of "Mark" beginning March 20 and continuing for three Sunday It was announced that the fellowship family dinner will be held at the church March 6. Announcement was made of the unit meeting to be held in Fellowship Hall of the church March 10. Plans were discimed for the Order of Eastern Star dinner to be held in Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m.

Mrs. Lafferty remained with her daughter because of an injured finger.

Coming to the Long Branch area for the funeral of Mrs. Virgie Williams were Mr. and Mrs. George Brooks of Connecticut. LIVELY (RNS) Spending the weekend with J.

Hazel Lively and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Carl B. Lively, were Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lively and daughter.

Lee Ellen, of Norton, Va. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lively and Larry Murdock of Princeton. Murdock also visited with Henry Canterbury of Lively and was a weekend guest of his father, Carl Murdock.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Lively Jr. have announced the birth of their first child, Holli Marie, born in a Harrisonburg, hospital at 10 a.m.

Feb. 18. She weighed eight pounds arid two ounces. Lively is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Carl Lively of Linville, Va. PAINT CREEK (RNS) Spending the weekend with Mrs. Lazella Powers and family of Paint Creek Road were her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Powers of Lynchburg, and daughter, Cindy, who attends school in Blacksburg.

(Post-Herald Photo) Group To Perform MONTGOMERY West Virginia Tech will host one performance only of Theatre West Virginia's "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." The production is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 3 in the Tech Center Ballroom.

The performance is free to the public. Theatre West Virginia is the state's only professional touring repertory company. Now in its fifth season. Theatre West Virginia was founded by John S. Benjamin and is supported, in part, by the West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council and the West Virginia Legislature.
