Ill 4 '-w This house is so beautifully integrated at the design level that you continue to be surprised by little "jewel" touches. For example, in the entry hall shown on the opposite page, narrow strips of hand-embroidered fabric have been used to set off white wall panels. The two side chairs are virtually encrusted with this same quality embroidery Although you have a glimpse of the stained glass window from this area, you must actually enter the living room before the big surprise and impact hits you.

That one element of surprise is used cleverly by architect A. Quincy Jones, AIA. The dining room, left, also makes the most of the flower theme. Two separate dining tables are placed on petal-shaped area rugs, and chair seats and arms get the hand-finished touch of needlework. The photograph above captures another characteristic aspect of this house.
