Special to the Aws. Saturday there was a singing convention and picnic held out here at Braint Chapel. There were four classes present that day New Hope, of netfr South Pittsburg, the Bridgeport class, the Shumake Grove class; the Ebenezer class, and these with the local (Brant Cha.iel) class, made five singing classes, and good work was done. However, I have complaint to make, as Mr. Reeves, who led the Bridgeport Class, wanted to have full control of things.

He got his class up on the' stage and just kept them there. He was afraid of New Hope singing class so he would not give them any chance io sing. The New Hope class is a large class, and sing very well. The New Hope class say they will give a singing and a picnic in the near future. If they do, I intend to be there, if it is the Lord will for me to be with them.

There was a large crowd here on that day, between 400 and 500 people. I am not doing this to throw off on anybody but hurrah for the New Hope singing class. That tenor and alto was fine, and the other singers were excellent. The other classes had a few good singers, but I wish I had noticed how many there were in the New Hope class. It was the highest class of all.

Bridgeport to have done right would have had equal division of time. Hurrah for New Hope when they sing No. 125, "That Wonderful Day is Coming." Large delegations from Shellmound, Carpenter, New Hope, Bridgeport, and Hog Jaw Valley were present on that day. Gold Bug. A Warning to Mothers.

Two much care cannot" be used with small children during the hot weather of the summer months to guard against bowel troubles. As a rule Its only neo-essury to give the child a dose of castor oJ to correct any disorder of the bowels. Do not use any'substitute, but give the old-fashioned oil and see that it is fresh, as rancid oil nausates and has a tendency to gnpe. ii mis uoes noi check the bowels give Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy and thon a doso of castor oil, and the disease may be chocked in its incipiency and all danger avoided. The castor oil and this remedy should be procured at once and kept ready for instant use as soon as the first indication of any bowel trouble appears.

This is the most succassful treatment known and' may be relied upon with implicit confidence even in cases of cholera infantum. For sale by all druggists. R00PE, TENN. Special to the Newt. Hot weather is the order of the day.
