Curtis Bailey Fields, 72, of 818 'E. 7th died Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. in St. Anthony's Hospital where he had been a patient since Aug. 29.

He had been in i failing health for the past 10 years. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Fields, he was born March '23. 1889 in Wayne County, and was married in 1909 at Sims, 111.

Surviving in addition to his wife. Nola. are two daughters, Mrs. Nona Dunnagan of Brighton, and Mrs. Leota Mills of Godfrey; three sons.

Jack of Alton. Arthur of Godfrey, and Lawrence of Atlanta, Ga. There are 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters. Mrs.

Mrs, M. Burges BUNKER HILL Mrs. Marie D. Burges. 76, of Dorsey died at 8:55 Wednesday in Alton Memorial Hospital following an illness of two days.

The widow Herman Burges, she was born April 22, 1885, in Dorsey and was the daughter the late Mr. and Mrs. William Krieger. She was married to Herman Burges March 9, 1913. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.

Laverne Dawes of Dorsey; Mrs. Beniice Moore, Edwardsville and Mrs. Elda Kehr of Wood River; and two brothers, Ed Krieger of Gillespie and William Krieger of Dorsey. There are eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Emmaus Lu- Itheran church in Dorsey with the Rev. Duncan Stevenson officiating Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Jacoby-Wise Funeral Home and until noon Saturday when the body will be removed to the church. Burial will be in Dorsey Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Frank Allen ROXANA Mrs. Frank Allen, 82, a former Roxana resident for 34 years, died Wednesday at her home, Rt. 1, Brovvnstown, 111., where she and her husband moved after his retirement. She had been confined to a wheelchair for the past four years after a fall.

Born in Shelbyville, she lived there until 1912 when she was married. She is survived by her husband, Frank; a son, Earl; and three daughters, Mrs. Harry Carter and Mrs. "Clifton Sturgeon, all of Roxana; and Mrs. Raymond Ellington of San Diego, Calif.

One brother, Elijah Allen of Crawfordsville, also survives. There are 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren. Three sis- preceded her in death. The body is in the Claggett Funeral Home at Brownstown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
