THE A HILL FACTORY ROBBED THIS MORNING Thieves Ransacked Two Floors and Carried off Tires and Other Valuables. Burglars, early this morning or late lat night, broke into the carriage factory of Caiull at the nortJiwest comer of Second and French streets, and carried off several hundred dollars' worth of nibber carriage and automobile tires. They gained an entrance to the building through a cellar window which, was covered over by an iron grating. After removing the grating they broke the glass in the window- and then it was an easv matter to unlock the window and climb into the cellar. How they managed to get into the building without someone seeing them is a mystery for there is an arc light on that corner and jieople are pacing at ail hours of the night in going to and from the Pennsylvania railroad station.

It is thought that the robbery was committed early in the morning, for cars of the Peoples railway are passing that corner every few minutes until 1 o'clock. The List car generally passes between 1.15 and 1.30 o'clock. Sometimes it waits at the corner for several minutes in order to take on pasjscngers coming from Phila delphia, on the train scheduie ed to arrive here at 1.10 o'clock. Occasionallv the traiu is several minutes late and the I car waits until Kcts into the station. 1 -Vfter getting mt hetactory the thieves went to a closet iu the basement where the valuable rubber tues are kept.

This cWt is kept urv kx-ked. but the thieves not only broke the lock, but also I forced the dotrs off th" hllliies. 1 f. 1 i.wxu-Miis 1 no em ire nasement tnev mn 1 the first tlo.r, but did not disturb anything there, as far as is known, evidently ou account of the arc light on the corner throwing its bright rays in that part of the building. 'I office of the company ksated on tho first floor, but as fur as known the thieves did not enter the irtue, for mthing there was disturbed, Two desks and an iron safe are iu the ofhee, but there were uo maiks found on I either.

i It is thought that after leaving the i basement the thieves uunuvfiately went to the second tkmr without stopoiusr on the riist floor. They ransacked the second lloor and carried away some small, but valuable articles.
