n.1i 3U WALL NEW YORK, May 8 (Noon). With call money again renewing at 14 per cent, efforts to counteract the effects of the credit ten- sion by pushing up selected shares, met with little success for every rally brought out offerings. Coppers again were under pressure, and several of the motor and amusement issues slid downward- Shares, which managed to move against the trend, included Advance Rumely preferred, up 6 points. Advance Rumely com-' mon. United Aircraft, American Sugar, American Tobacco and American Foreign Power, all up 2 1-2 to 4 1-2 points.

Stock prices moved Irregularly lower at the opening of today's market. One block of 20.000 shares of Columbia Graphophone changed hands at 72 1-2, off 4 1-2. presumably in reflection of the termination of negotiations for a merger with Radio. Montgomery Ward. General Electric and North American all yielded a point or so.

Case Threshing opened 4 1-2 points higher. Standard Oil of California 1 3-8 and Westinghouse Electric 1. Uneasiness over the credit situation brought about further irregularity at the opening of today's stock market. Fears of a sharp increase in Federal Reserve rediscount rates persisted as a result of the suggestions of stich action in the recent address of Governor Young of the Federal Reserve Board. With call money commanding high rates, bullish activities centered largely in the low and meduim priced shares on which the carrying charges are relatively small.

Low priced oils were particularly favored, with buying inSuenced by the drop of more than 20.000 barrels in the daily average or production last week. Some of the large blocks included 15.000 shares of Tnn5c0r.tir.er.tal a. 12 1-2, 9.900 jhares Bamsdlal at 45 and 7,000 shares of Tide-Water-Associated at 21. all up fractionary. Vick Chemical quickly moved up 2 1-4 points to a new high at 97, and a good demand was apparent for United Aircraft.

General Asphalt. International Harvester and Fox Film A. 1 Case Threshing quickly converted an initial gain of 4 1-2 points into a decline of 10 points. Renewal of selling pressure against Radio carried that stock below 100. Union Carbide and F.

This Is New York's great mid-town Air TerminaL In the Borouah of Queens, within four miles and but twenty minutes' auto ride to Grand Central Station, a great tract of 220 acres has been assembled 130 acres being acquired by fee simple purchase and 90 acres by leni; term lease and is being developed as a modern air terminal with Administration Buildinsr.

The land involved in this Air Tennlnal has been ao-pralsed by John J. Reardcn. President of the Queens Second Ward Chapter of the Long Island Real Estate Board, as havirjj a present value of over $8,000,000. Because of its unparalleled location in the heart of the country's largest city, we believe Eolmes Airport is destined to beccm-the center of air transportation operations throughout the United States.

A little less than one-quarter of this air terminal is now in temporary operation. March 17. the first openin? Sunday, witnessed an attendance of over 100,000 people. This is but a slight indication of the popularity of Holmes Airport as a finished terminal. The real estate value of this land will put a substantial equity behind every share of the holdinj company's common stock.

GENERAL AERO owns all of the stock of Holmes Airport, Inc. (except qualifying shares of directors). EASTERN AIR EXPRESS, INC. Eastern Air Express. a Delaware corporation, has been formed as an air transport company, to operate from New Tcric's rr.K-scwc Air Terminal.
