I City Engagements Larsen-Tippets Announcement is being made by Dr. and Mrs. Very! Vi 1 eenth of the engagement and autumn wedding plans 01 their daughter, Kristen. to David Wavne Tippets, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Vaughn Tippets, Logan, Utah The wedding is being planned for October at the LDS Temple in Logan. The bride-elect is a graduate of Pocatello High bchool, where she was active in National Honor Society Latin and Ski Clubs. She is attending Utah State University on a National Merit Scholarship and is a senior in sociology bnei received the Cardon-Neubcrger Award for outstanding student social sciences for this year. Her college affiliations are Calico Dance Orchesis Modern Dance Ciub ana Alpha Lambda Delta, women's honorary sorority. She is employed by Utah State University.

The furture bridegroom is a graduate of Bear Lake High School, where he was school photographer and a member of Ski Club. He attended the University of Utah where he participated in the honors program. He served in the Texas South (San Antonio Mission) of the LDS Church. Now attending Utah State University, he is a forestry-recreation major. He is working for the U.S.

Forest Service at the Bridger-Teton National forest. Jacobs-Elgas Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jacobs, 52 Yale, are announcing the engagement and summer wedding plans of their daughter OlgaMelinda, to Richard Gerald Elgas, Anaheim Calif son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Gerald Elgas, longtime Pocatello residents. The couple will recite wedding promises in a June ceremony here. A reception will honor them at the El Cielito. The engagement news was revealed at a summer party hosted by the parents of the bride-to-be at Temple Emanuel. The party included Jewish dancing and music by a band of Jacobs family members, including Miss Jacobs's father; her brother, David, who traveled here from Princeton, and the future bridegroom.

Miss Jacobs is a high honor graduate of Pocatello High School, where she was active in drama, speech, music and many clubs. She was Soroptimist "Girl of the Month," regional winner of the International Thespian scholarship, recipient of the outstanding talent plaque and was Senior Division first place winner in the Alameda Kiwanis Finals. A clarinetist, she was chosen for All-State Band. She earned superior ratings in state declamation, High School Drama Festival at Boise State College and music festivals. The last two years she has been majoring in theater at Pomona College in California, and she plans to be graduated in January, 1977.

She was in the touring company of the Kabuki Theatre, which performed in the Los Angeles area. She spent a Pomona semester abroad in Israel, where she attended the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. At Pomona College she belongs to Band, works as assistant costumer and is active in the Jewish collegiate community. She is visiting here this week after spending the summer working at Disneyland. Elgas is a graduate of Pocatello High School, where he was active in Band.

He received his bachelor or arts degree from Idaho State University and was a member of the R.O.T.C. He earned his master of arts degre from California State, Fullerton. He is band director at Fremont Junior High School in Anaheim, and is one of five finalists in the "Outstanding Educator of America" competition. A trumpet player, he also toured for several years with the Ted Weems Orchestra. Mrs. Schaffner was matron of honor for Miss Lish, who had been a i of at her cousin's wedding.

Bridesmaids were Debbie Smith, Rita Howell. Laurie Cerda and the bridegroom's sister, Judy Lane, Riverton, Wyo. Joni Norton served as flower girl for her cousin, and sharing the ringbearer duties were Joey Lish and J.C. Slane, brothers of the bridal couple. Acting as best man for the bridegroom was his brother.

Mitch Slane. Guests were ushered by Keith Ankrum. Brad Casper, Bob Lane, Brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and John Dilday. both of Riverton, Wyo. At the request of the newly weds, the theme song from "The Sting' was played at the conslusion of the ceremony.

Keith Park, Idaho Falls. Miss Jones is a graduate of Pocatello High School, where she was active in Pep and Ski Clubs. She also completed the training at Kinman Business University in Spokane, where she specialized in fashion merchandising. Park, a graduate of Idaho Falls High School, majored in history at Idaho State University. He served in the Army and now is a member of the Idaho National Guard.

He is employed as assistant manager of Sunset Sporting Center. St. John Newman Center was decorated in a baby blue and royal blue color scheme for the Aug. 22 wedding of Deanna Marie McPeak and Brent R. Harris.

The bride, who is employed as a registered nurse at St. Anthony Hospital, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McPeak, Pinehurst. The bridegroom, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Cleve Harris, Malad, is completing his education in business management and is working for Modern Roof and Insulation. The evening ceremony was performed by Rev. Bill Taylor, and music for the guitar mass was provided by Tim Carney. Preceding the bride down the aisle were three attendants.

Her sister, Mary Bucho, Wallace, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Bushnell, Kellogg, and Janie Sartori. Flower girls were Kim Harris, Mt. Lake Terrace, and Staci Harris, Pittsburgh, nieces of the bridegroom. Ringbearer was Marc Bucho, Wallace, nephew of the bride.

Terrell Harris, Mt. Lake Terrace, acted as best man for the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Ron Harris, Pittsburgh. a brother, and Sam Evans, Malad. Ushers were Ernie McPeak, Kevin McPeak and Joe McPeak, Pinehurst, brothers of the bride.

During the "kiss of peace" portion of the ceremony, the bridal couple exchanged roses with their parents. A reception followed the wedding wedding at St. John's. A honeymoon trip was taken by the newlyweds to Glacier Park and Canada. They are making their home in Pocatello.
