TWO WILMINGTON MORNING NEWS, WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, FRIDAY, JUNE 18, 1943 HARRY DEVINE, 61, DIES OF INJURIES Victim of Auto Accident Was Brother of Assistant Superintendent of City Schools Harry Devine, 61 years old, of 1333 North Clayton Street, struck by an automobile at Twenty-fifth and Market Streets, died yesterday of Mr. Devine lacerations of injuries in Delaware, Hospital. the head, a possible fractured skull and internal injuries. He was a brother of Miss Bessie C. Devine, an assistant superintendent of the Wilmington public schools.

Mr. Devine was a life-long resident this city, the son of the late Michael and Ellen Sayers Devine. He was emloyed for many years at the New Castle Leather Company here and at the time of his death was workIng for the Dravo Corporation. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Carolean McC. Devine, two daughters, Miss Frances Margaret Devine and Mrs. Robert Mercer, and a son, Pfc. George H. Devine, U.

S. Air Forces, stationed at Lowry Field, Denver, Colo. Also surviving are a brother, John Devine, five sisters. Miss Sarah S. Devine, Miss Bessie C.

Devine, Miss Ida Devine, and Miss Mary Devine. Funeral services will be from his late home Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be private. The driver of the car which struck Mr. Devine, Mrs.

Mary E. Castellan of 617 Harrington Street, was treated at the hospital following the accident hysteria. Deputy Coroner C. Kelley is conducting an investigation of the accident. PUPILS' ART WORK SHOWN IN CAPITAL 3 Paintings, Block Print By City Students Exhibited In Library of Congress Hall Three large paintings and a block print by pupils in the Wilmington Public Schools are hanging in the Library of Congress in Washington, D. as part of the National Exhibition of High School War Art. The exhibition, sponsored by the United Office of Education and the Office of War Information, opened on June 15 and will remain in the Library of Congress until July 25. A large painting by Philip Goldberg, 15-year-old pupil in the Bayard Junior High School, is one of two paintings on the first panel at the entrance to the exhibition.

The picture is an interpretation of an airplane view of a battle. The other two paintings also are by Bayard School boys. Frank Sneyda's painting of point rationing and a painting of planes over a map of Europe by Joseph Horwitz and Harold Feller were chosen for the exhibition. Horwitz and Feller are now attending the Wilmington High School, but the painting was done their ninth grade work at Bayard. Mrs.

Elizabeth Arthur is the art teacher at the Bayard School.
