Shima is the popular daughter of Mrs. Anna Graves of this city. She was graduated from the! Iowa City high school in 1918, and; for the past three years has beenj a. stenographer in the department of hygiene and preventive medicine at the state university. Her pleasing manner and charming- disposition have endeared her to a host of friends.

Mr. Shima is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Shima of Solon.

He is a well-liked and prominent young farmer, residing three miles north of Iowa City, where tBe happy couple will make their home. --s-Historical Circle Elects At a meeting of the Athena Historical Circle yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Partridge on the vest side, Mrs. Elmer Anderson was chosen as the new president, and Mrs. Glenn X.
