Sharp, 27, of 524 Rothbury Road, Woodbrook, died yesterday in the Memorial Division after a long illness. Mr. Sharp was an electronic technician for Motorola of Washington, D.C., before he became ill. James L. File James L. File, 74, of 1905 Washington died Saturday in the Memorial Division after a long illness. He was a custodian for the Wilmington School district for 26 years, retiring in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Ethel a daughter, Margaret E.

Hurschman of Newark; a stepson, Donald Bryant of Marshallton; a brother, Joseph of Wilmington; five grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Services and burial will be private. Abraham F. Schall Abraham F. Schall, 91, died yesterday in the Kutz Home, 704 River Road, Bellefonte, where he resided since 1974.

Mr. Schall had owned a furniture and clothing store in Morristown, N.J. His wife, Regina, died in 1970. He is survived by a son. Edward W.

Hall, 71, of Harmon Avenue, died Sunday in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, after a long illness. Mrs. Hall, a retired domestic worker, leaves no immediate survivors. She was divorced. Memorial services will be tomorrow afternoon at 1 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, Rehoboth Beach.

Burial will be private. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sussex County branch of the American Heart Fund, Georgetown. Charles A. Higgins, who took on the leadership of Hercules Inc. on the eve of World War II and led the firm through 1953, died Friday at the age of 90.

He had been ill for several years and died at the Citizens Nursing Home, Havre de Grace, where he had lived since 1975. His death was caused by pneumonia with complications. He and his wife had lived at the Elk Manor Farm, North East, Md. A spokesman for industry and livestock breeder, Higgins' career with Hercules spanned 38 years, from 1915 to 1953. Born in Gillingham, England, in 1888, Higgins was educated at private schools and at King's College.

He began his career in 1910 as a chemist with the New Explosives Co. Ltd. in England. He came to the United States in 1915 as chief chemist for the Union Powder Co. of Parlin, N.J.

Four months after Higgins joined the firm, Union Powder was bought by the Hercules Powder Co. Higgins was transferred to Wilmington in 1916, as assistant to the chemical director, and began a rise through management ranks. In 1922, he moved to the operating department, where he served as technical assistant to the general manager. He was appointed manager of the development department in 1926. Two years later, Higgins was Virginia D.

Johnson Virginia Dorsey Johnson, 63, of 318 S. Scott died at her home Saturday after an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Johnson worked from 1971 to 1976 for Colonial Cleaning Systems of Concord Plaza. Her husband, George died in 1964.

She is survived by a son, George A. of Chester, and a grandson. The funeral will be private. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Delaware Heart Association, Independence Mall. Victor Kilian Sr.

Did robber kill actor Victor Kilian? HOLLYWOOD (AP) Police say robbery may have been the motive in the beating death of actor Victor Kilian, best remembered the "Fernwood Flasher' on "Mary Hartman, Mary The 88-year-old character actor's body was found Sunday in his luxurious Hollywood apartment by his son, Victor Kilian after the son was unable to reach him by telephone, police said. There was no forced entry into the apartment, said police Detective James Troutman. That means the killer may have entered with a pass key, he said, and robbery may have been the motive. Kilian appeared to have been preparing a late-night snack while watching television when the attack occurred Saturday night, Troutman said. The apartment had been ransacked, but police did not know whether any property was taken.

Kilian's career spanned 40 years and 130 films. His most recent role was as the grandfather who liked to expose himself in the television series, "Mary Hartman, Mary Kilian, a native of Jersey City, N.J., appeared in vaudeville before his first screen appearance in the 1936 film, "Road to Glory." He also played in "Ramona," "Reap the Wild Wind" and "Seventh Heaven." Funeral arrangements had not been announced. named to the board of directors and the finance committee, and in 1929 he became a member of the executive committee. The following he was elected a vice president. In 1939 he became president the company the second in the firm's history and chairman of the executive committee.

Later, he was elected chairman of the board. He served in those posts for 14 years, resigning in June 1953. A collector of paintings, he also maintained a 220-acre farm in Kennett Square, where he had a herd of Guernsey cattle and an operating dairy farm. The farm was sold to the University of Pennsylvania for a veterinary school in 1953. He was a member of the Academy of Political Science, and of the Wilmington Club, Wilmington Country Club, and Hercules Country Club, and a member of the Pilgrims club in New York City.

He is survived by his second wife, the former Ruth Gimbei Newton, of Denver; two brothers. Edward of Montreal, and William of Paris, and a sister, Mrs. Vernon Armstrong, of Holyoke, Mass. In 1921, he married the former Marion Dunham of Wilmington. They were later divorced.

Their only child, Charles A. was killed in action in Europe in 1945. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Neighbor saves three from fire DOVER A mother and her two children were rescued by a neighbor Sunday morning from the porch roof of their burning home on W. Division Street. Mary Smith and her two chitdren, Sheila and James, climbed out on the roof after their duplex home caught fire.

The neighbor, who requested that his name not be used, ran outside when he saw flames shooting from the first floor of the house. "I went to my backyard, got a ladder and ran back out," he said last night. He then took the three off the roof to safety.
