SELDERS-DUSTIN First Family and Idaho Governor Send Good Wishes To Couple Married in Mall Few bridal couples receive congratulations from Ihe First Family and a governor. However. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Margean Selders) Dustin, whose Leap Day wedding in the Pocatello Mail caught national attention, have messages from President and Mrs.

Gerald Ford and Idaho Gov. Cecil Andrus. The message from the White House read: "To Mr. and Mrs. Tom Diistin: As you begin your marriage, you have our very best for a future of happiness together.

And may Ihe love you share be richly filled with joy and contentment." It was signed Betty Ford and Gerald R. Ford, President of the United States. The idea for the Feb. 29 wedding in a shopping mall originated here with Mrs. Billinell Croly, Pocatello Mall manager.

An open invitation to attend was extended to all in- terested persons and about a thousand responded, according to Mrs Croly. She was pleased particularly because with all Hie notoriety, the wedding was done with a "great deal of been concerned that there would be a great deal of noise with a large crowd. However, once the ceremony got under way, a crowd control seem to function.Eveyone was quiet as the couple repeated the double ring wedding vows. Judge George Phillips officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony of the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs'. Lewis A. Selders, 4924 Spraker, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dustin, 249 Stuari.

Music was furnished by the singing quintet of Parrish Sisters. For her wedding the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of cream white satin. Her sisters, Mary Call and Susan Schell, Lyman, who shared the matron of honor duties, were attired in red velvet. The bridesmaids, who wore pink Karla Grower, a cousin, and Patti Price. Flower girl was Heidi Scheli.

Lyman, a niece of the bride, and ringbearer was Chris Call, a nephew. Kregg Price stood as best man for the bridegroom. Ushers were Greg Harris, Barry Lewis and a brother, Hans Dustin. A deep red and light yellow color scheme was carried nut in the wedding and the reception which followed. There were 150 invited guests.

However.many just passing through the Mail stopped to extend good wishes as they went through the receiving line. All were so sincere, said Mrs. Croly. Aid for City Arthritic Patients: Subject of A 0Pi A lumnae Meet Alpha Omicron Pi alumnae meeting will he hosted by Mrs. Milt Carlson at her home, 641 Park Lane, on Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m. Special guest speaker will be Allen Martin, physical therapist at St. Anthony Hospital. He will talk about aid available to arthritc patients in Pocatello and what the A01I alumnae may do to assist.

The Arthritis Foundation is the national philanthropy of the fraternity. Scheduled also is the election of the alumnae officers for 197677. At the last function, Mrs. Jim (Betty) Howard was honored as the outstanding alumna of the Pocatello chapter for 1976 for her personal devotitn and service to the fraternity. The Certificate of Honor was presented to recognize her praiseworthy accomplishments in Alpha Pi.

She is employed at the Provo university. Winegar, a 1969 graduate of Hillcrest High School, filled an LDS Mission in Mexico. He is a second year law student at (he J.

Reuben Clark Law School in Provo, Utah. The couple is planning a March 26 wedding in the Logan LDS Temple. ABERDEEN--Hhonda Scott will become the bride of Steven C. Canfield May 14 in a wedding to be performed at the Aberdeen Third LDS Ward. Announcement of the engagement and approaching marriage is being made by Mr.

and Mrs. Walter A. Scott, Aberdeen, parents of the bride-elect. The future bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.

Archie Dean Canfield, American Falls. Miss Scott, a graduate of Aberdeen High School, worked on the annual staff. Now attending Idaho State University, School of Vocational-Technical Education, she is taking merchandising. She belongs to D.E.C.A. and is employed at the University Book Store.

Canfield, a graduate of American Falls High School, served in the Navy. He is studying electronics now in the Idaho State University School of Vocational-Technical. Rich-Coombs GRACE--Mr. snd Mrs. Russell B.

Rich announce the engagement of their daughter, Shauna Lynn, to Evan B. Coombs, son of Mr Mrs. Willian L. Coombs, They have encircled June II as the wedding date. The bride-elect will be graduated from the Grace High School in May.

Coombs was graduated from Grace High School in 1973 and is employed with Miss Rich's father in farming. A reception will honor the couple at the LDS Slake cultural hall following the wedding.
