D. Townsend, and William Joyce Yerkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Yerkes of Greenville, formerly of New York, on Friday, April 29.

The ceremony will be performed at the home of the bride-to-be's parents, 1304 Broom Street, and will be followed by a small reception. The couple will be unattended. After a wedding trip they will make their home! in this city. Mr. and Mrs.

William S. Potter entertained Sunday afternoon at their home in Centerville in honor of the couple and a number of parties are planned during the coming week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Y.

Jeanes, will give party in their honor on Saturday afternoon and a buffet supper will be given by Mr. and Mrs. George P. Edmonds preceding the Holiday Ball that evening. Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas Fries Grasselli of Westover Hills entertain for Miss Townsend and Mr. Yerkes on Sunday afternoon. MISS BEULAH E. WEBB MR.

HAROLD VANDERGRIFT Miss Beulah E. Webb, daughter of Mr. Howard K. Webb and the late Mrs. Mineola Pugh Webb of Hamorton, and Mr.

Harold Vandergrift, of the late Andrew and Elsie Pearl Vandergrift of Kennett Square, were married Friday at the Middletown Presbyterian manse at Elwyn, Pa. The couple was unattendedride wore an oxford gray suit with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Mr. and Mrs. Vandergrift will live in Kennett Square.

MISS MILDRED OLIVIA PARKER MR. FRANKLIN H. TRUITT Miss Mildred Olivia Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Parker of Salisbury, became the bride of Mr.

Franklin Howard Truitt, son Mr. and Mrs. G. Frank Truitt of Delmar, on Thursday evening at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage in Delmar. The Rev.

Ralph C. Jones performed the ceremony. The bride wore blue with a corsage of pink roses. Miss Ethel Shockley of Salisbury was the maid of honor and wore blue with a corof white roses. Mr.

Roland Fitzgerald of Salisbury was the best man. After a brief wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Delmar. Luncheon, Card Party Today at Hospital Mrs. Tilghman C. Hubbert 1s chairman of arrangements for the luncheon and card party to be held today in the new wing of the St.

Francis Hospital by the Junior Board. Luncheon will be served at 1 o'clock. Guests are requested to take their own cards. Reservations may be made this morning with Mrs. Richard Snyder.

The party is one of the series which been sponsored by the organization through the winter and spring months. The last affair for the current year will be held next month with Mrs. A. L. Boning as chairman.

Assisting Mrs. Hubbert on the food committee will be Mrs. William Irwin, Mrs. William J. Boeck.

Mrs. Feeney, Mrs. Stanley Abrams. Miss Ellen R. Ford, president of the Junior Board, is chairof the committee on arrangements assisted by Mrs.

Winners in Acme Bridge Club Party Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Potts won first place in the weekly duplicate bridge party at the Acme Bridge Club, on Silverside Road, Monday night. Their total score was 47 points. Mr.

Harry Jacobs and Mr. Joseph Foreacre were second with 46 points, while third position went to Mr. James McCrone and Mrs. Stuart Strobridge with 44 1-2 points. Others who participated were: Mrs.

Butlers Ball to Aid Visiting Nurses The third annual Butlers Ball will be held tonight in the gold ballroom and duBarry room of the Hotel DuPont. Old -fashioned and modern dancing is included on the program as well as novelty acts. Proceeds will be given to the Visiting Nurse Association.

PEDRICK Home Managers Will Hold Card Party on June 7 Proceeds to be Given To Aged Women's Institution A card party will be held on Tuesday, June 47, at the home of Mrs. Frank D. Lackey in Claymont by the board of managers of the Home for Aged Women. Mrs. Homer Barry is general chairman of arrangements.

Cadwalader at The Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia. last evening. Fifty guests, prominent in Wilmington and Philadelphia, attended. The dinner preceded the presentation of the African collection of animal specimens by the Carpenter party in collection, obtained, including a group of water buffalo and other African specimens, was viewed by the guests following the dinner. Willing Workers to Meet The Willing Workers of Zion Lutheran Church will meet tonight in the social hall of the church.

Wood is a member of the Claymont Club. A unique feature of the program was an address by Prof. Robert M. Stabler, professor of zoology and at the University of Pennsylvania. He spoke on "Falconry," one of the most ancient of sports, and enlivened his address by exhibiting two trained falcons.

Professor Stabler presented the in the ancient manner with birds, feathered hoods and bells attached for their protection. He said that in one period of history certain breeds of the birds depicted the station of the owner. He also explained the training and the hunting prowess of the birds and demonstrated their mannerisms. Mrs. Edith Edwards Stevens gave a demonstration of daperies, wall paper, and rugs.

Mrs. William H. Dutton was chairman of the program and Mrs. Milton S. Brittinghamn was chairman of hospitality.

Exhibition Walls Given to Institute The Drexel Institute Alumni Club here has been informed that a set of inner walls, which creates an exhibition gallery within the museum of the college and can be dismantled when not in use. has been given to the institute by Mr. Edward P.

Simon, chairman of the advisory art committee of the institute and a member of the board of trustees. The first exhibition making use of the new gift walls is being held this month and is open to students, alumni, and the general public. Visitors are welcome 10 a. m. to 4 p.

m. on weekdays, and from 10 a. m. to 12 noon on Saturday. The exhibit, including 100 American prints, is loaned through the courtesy of Carl Zeiss, Inc.

Delaware is fifth enrollment of students at the day sessions of the school with 24 states, District of Columbia. the Canal Zone, Cuba, and Porto Rico represented in the total enrollment of 1,829. DuPont Country Club Luncheon Saturday Unusual interest is being shown by women members and non-members of the DuPont Country Club in the bridge luncheon to be held in the club house Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. It will be the closing party of the season and from present indications it will be the largest and most successful. All DuPont girls are invited to attend the luncheon and remain for cards and other social activities.

Their daughter, Miss Ethel Hauber, is a member group which is composed of the more advanced students of the dance.
