Keys of the university department of music, and Hon Ingalls Swisher, mayor of Iowa City will sing the tenor and bass solos in the oratorio, "The Crucifixion, which will be given by the university chorus on Easter Sunday. The oratorio, which'was composed by John Stainer a distinguished British composer of sacred music, consists of four long choruses, four chorales, and several solos.

Its theme deals with events leading up to, and including the crucifixion.
