Helms, retired rice farmer, dies Funeral services for William Albert Helms. 95, will be at p.m. Thursday in the Hixson Funeral Home chapel with a minister of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. Mr.

Helms died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Lake Charles ing home. A native of Lexington. he had been a resident of the Sweetlake- Bell City area for 60 years. He was a retired rice farmer.

Survivors are four sons. W. Edgar, Joseph and Martin Helms, all of Lake Charles, and Roy Helms of Glendale, two daughters. Mrs. Ruth Hillebrandt and Mrs.

A. J. Lambert. both of Lake Charles; one broth er, Norman Ted Helms of Port: Arthur. Tex.

Also. three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Stewart and Mrs. May Douglas, both of Luling, and Mrs. Nola Stewart of Conroe, 19 grandchildren; 38 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild.

Riders club to meet Thursday in Merryville MERRYVILLE A special meeting of the Merryville Riders Club will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. Purpose of the meeting is to complete plans for the rodeo to be held Sept. 17-18. The public is invited to come and watch club members practice calf roping, barrel racing, pole bending and other events each Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m., according to the announcement.

Mr. Benoit died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday as the result of an Automobile accident near Evangeline. A native of Jennings, he moved to Eunice about one year ago where he worked as a roughneck. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Evelyn Pelican Benoit; one daughter, Celina Benoit of Eunice; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Benoit of Jennings; six brothers, Rodney P. Benoit, of Cameron, and Harold Willard, Wallace Garland Roy and Francis Lee Benoit, all of Jennings, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mays Benoit of Jennings.

MRS. RUTH BOYD Mrs. Ruth C. Boyd of Shreveport, 61, died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday after a heart attack while visiting her brother, Willie Andrew Tarver of Lake Charles.

Mr. Christ, a native of Eunice, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Hospital here after a short illness. Time and place of services will be announced by the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.

Other survivors are four other brothers, Henry, Christ of Beaumont. Rodney Christ of Hamshire. Paul of Basile and Ferdenand of Christ, Winnie, three sisters, Theresa Christ and Mrs. I. E.

Miller, both of Eunice and Mrs. Eli Hebert of Beaumont. MRS. DORA COLEMAN Funeral services for Mrs. Dora 1 Rogers Coleman, 84, of 4029 Sixth will be at 10 a.m.

The son of Mrs. Georgia Mae Stevens of Lake Charles and a native of the city, he graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Survivors in addition to his mother are one sister, Selina Joyce Stevens of Los Angeles; three brothers, Vlair Joseph and Michael Stevens and Erick Daniels, all of Los Angeles; his stepfather, William V. Daniels of Los Angeles; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Jenkins of Dallas, paternal grandfather, Hamilton Stevens of Lake Charles and great-grandmother, Mrs.

DUGAS NEW IBERIA -Funeral servIces for Mrs. Domoville Dugas, 68, sister of Mrs. Albert Aucoin of Lake Charles, were at 4 p.m. Tuesday from St. Peter Catholie Church.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Evangeline Funeral Home. Mrs. Dugas died at 5:30 a.m. Monday in 1 Dauterive Hospital. Other survivors are her husband: two sons, Claude and Robert Dugas; one daughter, Mrs.

Lilian Viator of New Iberia: four brothers. Rene, Eddie Frank and Robert Bourgeois, all of New Iheria: one other sister, Mrs. Andrew LeMaire of Abbeville: 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. CHARLES M. EVANS PITKIN Funeral services for Charles M.

Evans, 51, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Beauregard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnnle Mathis and the Rev. Herman Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in the Foshee Cemetery near Merryville.

Mr. Evans died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Hospital in Alexandria. He was a native of Adairsville. Ga.

He was an electrician. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Johnny C. Evans with the Air Force in Germany, Orin Evans with the Army' at Ft. Polk and Edward Evans of Pickering; three step sons, Maxie, Roy and Melvin Whiddon, all of Pitkin; two brothers, E. C.

Evans of Pensacola, Fla. and Paul Evans of Odessa, two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Mae Vaughn of Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Lula Shaw of Rome, one grandchild and two step-grandchildren.
