and Mrs. N. M. Brown of Asheville, N. C.

Mr. Vandever is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vandever of Ken-nett Square, Pa. They will reside in this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Duane Mannon The bridal couple drink a toast following their recent wedding in Brandy wine Methodist Church. The bride is the former Miss Janet Louise Megoni-gal, daughter of Mrs. David Raudman, 2510 jessup Street and the late Mr.

Harold L. Me-g onig a I. Cor- poral Mannon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Em-mert D.

Mannon, also of this city. After a wedding trip the bridegroom will return to Stewart Field, New-burgh, N. Y. The wedding of Miss Anna Marie Saggione, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Philip Saggione, of 835 North Union Street, to Mr. William Leo of Ken-nett Square, will take place Saturday, Aug. 11. The ceremony will be held at 3 p. m.

in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. Dr. Joseph L.

McCoy, pastor, will officiate. Mr. Saggione will escort his daughter. Her matron of honor will be Roland DiTomasso of this city. Bridesmaids will be Miss Jean Wolhar and Miss Marcia Toselli.

Mr. Roland DiTomasso will serve as best man. Ushers will be Mr. Anthony Saggione and Mr. Philip Saggione, brothers of the bride-elect, and Mr.

Joseph Juliano. A reception will follow in Carpenters Hall. After a wedding trip to Wildwood, N. the couple will reside in this city. Miss Saseione is a ffraduate of -II 9 II Dance to Open 2-Day Benefit Country Fair Grace Church on Concord Pike Sponsoring Event Round and square dancing will again provide an outstanding attraction at the Country Fair sponsored by Grace Episcopal Church, on the Concord Pike near Talleyville, next Monday night.

The dance, starting at 8:30 p. m. in the parish house on the church grounds, will be a highlight of tha fair's opening night. The fair Itself will continue Tuesday, closing Tuesday night. Mrs.

Richard E. Merchant, who is chairman of the dance, assisted by Mrs. Albert Hickman, has announced that music will be furnished by a small orchestra, Th caller will be Andy Ford of Landen-berg, well-known In this locality for his services at square dances. The dance will be open to the public, and refreshments will be on sale during intermission. Most patrons of the dance will arrive early to visit the fair on ths grounds surrounding the parish house and church.

Conducted along lines similar to those of previous years, the fair will offer amusements for grownups and children, with tables and booths at 'which food, fancy work, books, plan Island a wide variety of articles may be purchased. Special attraction for youngsters include pony rides and a fish pond. There will also be an assortment of outdoor games. Among the booths will be those offering antiques, baked goods, green groceries and packaged gro-ceries, candy, ice cream, and soft drinks. All organizations of Grace Episcopal Church are collaborating in the Country Fair.

Proceeds will be applied to the church building fund, to help defray expenses of adding a Sunday School annex to the present building. The annex is now un-cer construction. Mr, and Mrs. Ronald E. Miller are general co-chairmen in chargt of the fair.

Livingston of Salisbury, took place on Wednesday evening. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Roy Vernon in Friendship Methodist Church, near Berlin. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white net and taffeta and her fingertip veil fell from a cap of lace and seed pearls. She carried a white prayer book with an orchid.

Closed Saturdays "nylo-nets" 4 Hi YOUTH COUNCIL TO HOLD FALL The Claymont Youth Council met this week at the home of Mrs. Eugene Hackendorn, with Her bert C. Foote, presiding.

The mem bers decided to sponsor a fall fa shion show to be held in October, Mrs. F. Albert Jones was named general chairman, and Mrs. Charles Krister will serve as co-chairman. The proceeds will be set aside for a tennis court project.

James Guidice, director of the summer playground program, made a report on the activities to date. He announced that Thursday, Aug. 9, will be the closing date with Friday. August 10, as a rain date. Trophies will -be distributed at this time by the directors, Mr.

Guidice and Miss Peggy Michener. Special activities outlined for the remainder of the season included the first of a series of dances with the first scheduled for this eve ning at 8:30 o'clock in the school gymnasium. The playground directors, Mr. Foote, and Mr. and Mrs.

Willum honor. She wore white net over blue taffeta with a matching pic ture hat and long mitts. She carried white carnations. Mr. Jack Livingston of Salisbury was best man for his brother.

Ushers were Pvt. Gene Hughes and Pvt. Jack "Hughes, both of Salisbury. Mrs. Richard Williams of Wilmington was the vocalist.

She was accompanied by Mrs. Thomas Mcintosh of Sharptown. A reception was held In the community hall near the church before the couple left for a southern wedding trip. "Our Healine Mission in the Philippines," featured the program at the July meeting this week of the Woman's Societv of Christian Service of the Brack-Ex Methodist Church.

Mrs. Charles S. Clarkson, wife of the pastor, who also is vice president and program chairman of the society, was in charge. Others taking part included: Miss Ruth Tucker, Mrs. Oliver H.

Graham, Mrs. Lewis D. Armstrong, and Mrs. Ferris Yearsley, who sang a solo, accompanied by Mrs. T.

Wood-row Curlett. Mrs. Armstrong, president, presided. Miss Eva Todd, secretary of spiritual life, was in charge of de votions on the theme, "Come Unto Me," and spoke on the tODic. "The Great Invitation of the Master." ROLLER SKATING EVENT Children of the Mt.

Pleasant School District wishing to attend the roller skating party, being given under direction of the Mt. Pleasant Summer Supervised Playgrounds at the Printz Boulevard Roller Rink this evening from 7:30 to 10:30 o'clock, may obtain tickets at the Mt. Pleasant, Edge Moor, or Silver-side Playgrounds. Take Place in Near Future The engagement of Miss Patricia A. Acton, daughter of Mrs. Regina Acton, and the late Mr. William Acton, of Holly Oak, to Mr. Thcmas A.

Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Bennett of Gwinhurst, has been announced. Miss Acton is a June graduate of St.

Elizabeth's High School. She is employed by the DuPont Company. Mr. Bennett attended Claymont High School and is with the Pepsi-Cola Company. The wedding will take place in the near future.

The engagement of Miss Barbara Wooten Mallery, daughter of Mrs. J. Hammond Mallery of Salisbury, and the late Mr. Mallery, to Mr. Richard Wagstaff Clark, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Richard A. Clark, of Utica, N. is announced by her mother. Miss Mallery was graduated from Brentwood Hall, Bronxville, N.

and is a senior at the State University of New York, Oswego, N. Y. She is a member of Alpha Delta Sorority and Kappa Delta Pi, national honor society in education. Mr. Clark was" graduated from Davis High School, Mt.

Vernon, N. and Syracuse University, class of 1951, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and Alpha Epsilon Rho, radio honorary fraternities. He is associated with radio station WRUN in Utica. Mr. and Mrs.

N. A. Calloway of New Castle announce the engage ment of their daughter. Miss Norma Jean Calloway, to Mr. Lewis F.

Williamson, son of Mrs. Frank William son and the late Mr.Williamson of New Castle. Miss Calloway, a graduate of Wil liam Penn High School, New Castle, is associated with the Richmond Radiator Company. Mr. Williamson attended William Penn High School and is with the Delaware Brick Company.

Hogg, Jen-nersville, of the engagement of their daughter. Miss Margaret Virginia Hogg, to Mr. Mervin J. Keefer, son of Mr. and Mrs.

D. Walter Keefer of West Grove, Pa. Miss Hogg was graduated in the 1950 class from Avon-Grove Consolidated School, and Mr. Keefer in the class of 1949. Family Party Honors Stewart Maltman, 90 Mr.

Stewart Maltman of 1921 Lin coln Street celebrated his 90th birthday anniversary yesterday. A family party was held. The celebrant has five daughters: Mrs. Clara Gunby, Mrs. A.

Raymond Jackson, Mrs. T. B. OToole, Mrs. Abram Geary, all of this city; Mrs.

Raymond Skinner of Alexandria, two sons, Mr. Palmer S. Maltman and Mr. Wesley Maltman of this city; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr Maltman was born in Ireland and came to this country as a young man.

He is a member of Mt. Salem Methodist Church. He was associated with Joseph Bancroft and Sons Company for more than 40 years. Losing Program Team Entertains Winners Mr. and Mrs.

Edward Williams of Pencader Grange. Mr. and Mrs. J. Walker Pennington, and W.

Steele Atwell of Harmony Grange were guests on Wednesday evening of Union Grange, No. 1, for a picnic supper. It was given in honor of the men who won in the recent program contest, and was served on the lawn of the home of Mrs. Louise Dempsey by the women in the losing group. Mr.

Richard L. Fontaine was the winning captain and Mrs. Fontaine, his wife, was the losing captain. ASSISTING MUSIC CENTER Robert Collington Ackart of Barley Mill Road.this city, is technical director of the opera department of the Berkshire Music Center, the summer school of the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, Lenox, Mass. About to enter his last year at the Yale School of the Drama in New Haven, in the fall, he is working on the sets of Tchaikovsky's "Pique Dame," and Richard Strauss' "Ariadne auf Naxos," which will be produced in the next two weeks.

The school is of six weeks duration, ending with the last concert of the Berkshire Festival conducted by Charles Munch on Aug. 12. DelCollo To Be Married Ceremony Being Held Tomorrow in City R. C. Church Plans have been completed by Miss Rosemary Rivas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.

G. Rivas of Claymont for her wedding to Mr. Donald J. DelCollo. son of Mr.

and Mrs. Daniel DelCollo. The ceremony will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock In St. Anthony's R. C.

Church and will be performed by the Rev. Joseph L. McCoy. Mrs. Matilda Samluk, organist of the church, will play the wedding music, and accompany Eggerfc Geneva, soloist.

The bride, who will be given In marriage by her father, will have Miss Charlotte Messina as her maid of honor. The bridesmaids will be Miss Jane Hairsine and Miss Mary Logothetis. There will also be a junior bridesmaid. Miss Joann a cousin of the bride. Mr.

Robert DelCollo will serve as best man for his brother. The ushers will be Mr. Andrew Rivas, a brother of the bride, and Mr. DeSales Bero. all of this city.

The junior usher will be Anthony Mileto of Baltimore, a cousin of the bride. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a dinner at the Hotel Rodney for members of the immediate families, the bridal party, and a few close friends. A reception at St. Helena's Hall, Bellefonte, will be held in the evening. After a wedding trip to Mt Pocono, the couple will live at 1501 West Seventh Street.

The bride is a graduate of Wil mington High School and Goldey College and is associated with Harrjw David Zutz Insurance Agency. Mr. DelCollo was graduated from Salesianum High School and at tended Goldey College, and is em ployed by the Delaware Stee! Fabricating Company. Delegate Appointed By DuPont Auxiliary A delegate and alternate to the national Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary encampment Aug. 26 to 31 in New York City were named by the Admiral Samuel F.

duPont Auxiliary in a meeting this week in the post home at Newport. Mrs. Mary Bruno, president, will be the delegate and Mrs. Josephine Bernardo, junior vice president, the alternate. Plans were also discussed for a weiner roast and a hospital party next month.

Aug. arrangements have been made for the participants in the playground program to see the Blue Rocks baseball team play Hagers-town. A date will also be set for free evening at the Holly Oak Roller Skating Rink. Mr. Guidice announced that a total of 4,146 children have attended the program on the school grounds for the first five week.

Club Garden Croup Hears Talk on Iris Activities of the National Iris Association were discussed by Mrs. Andrew N. Nowell and Mrs. Pearce Crompton at a meeting of the Garden Group of the Blue Rock Community Club on Wednesday at home of Mrs. Ralph Hibner, Bellevue Manor.

Both are members the association. Mrs. Nowell gave a demonstration an aqua floral arrangement. Mrs Royal E. Smith, chairman, presided Mrs.
