Elmhurst, one of the state's thriving and growing communities, is being actively promoted by a group of progressive builders, who have Initiated a plan for the development of fine homes.

The development of home building at Elmhurst has commanded attention because of the Interest which these progressive concerns have had in its progress. The firms who are cooperating in the presentation of Elmhurst as an ideal residential development are the Williams Construction Company, with offices at 407 Winston Avenue, Elmhurst; the Elmhurst Realty Company, at 5 South Maryland Avenue, Elmhurst; and Howard 6. Johnston and Albert Rickel. A great deal of the popularity of Elmhurst is due to its fortunate location. The community has enjoyed a steady, sound and rapid growth.

During the course of the past few years, with building projects growing, it has developed into a residential section that has stores churches, fine transportation facilities and many natural advantages It is a convenient suburb whose residents take a great deal of pride in its growth. The type of dwellings which the progressive builders have placed in the new construction program presents sound values. Homes have been fairly priced, with moderate costs the lead. The locality permits the presentation of homes which feature honest values. Another feature which is of interest to prospective residents of Newport is the fact that the builders are financially responsible and stand behind their handiwork.
