and Henry LotHer of Richmond Hill were held In $5,000 and $7,500 ball respectively on a charge made by Frederick Nix that he was swindled ont of $147.50 by means of a bogus real estate transaction in which the men gave him bad checks as a mortgage loan. Three officers from New Jersey, Brooklyn and Queens had warrants for the brothers on similar charges and several women said they also were victims of real estate swindles operated by the brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Gould are on a 10 days' "weddiiig trip to the Thousand la- lands, and upon their return to El- lenvllle will reside with the groom's mother on Hickory- street. Mr. Gould is well and favorably known.

He is a man of high standing in the munity, a member of the M. E. Church and its financial secretary, a member of the church choir, superintendent of the Sunday school, and a trusted employe of tho Ellenville Savings Bank. Mrs. Gould was a valued memlber of the Ellenville High School faculty two years ago, and while in Ellenville won many friends by her very kind and friendly disposition and character.

She will receive a very cordial welcome when she comes to Ellonvillo to reside as the bride of Mr. Gould, many friends extend to both very sincere congratulations. OBITUARY Mrs. Catharine Frantz. Pine Bush, Aug.

10--Died, at her home, in Pine Bush, on August 5, 1915, Mrs. Catharine Frantz, widow of Nelson Frantz, aged 80 years and 10 months, after an illness of six months. Mrs. Frantz was ijpru in Ulster county, and always resided tbcre until two years ago, when, having purchased a property orTBorden avenue, Pine Bush, she removed, to it, at which place her Been since. Her parents were Johonas Turner and Cornelia Wynkoff, who passed away many years ago.

The deceased was married on April 4, 1857, to Nelson Frantz, in Ulster county, and she is survived by the following children- Mlsw Estella Prantz, residing at home; Mis. Carrie Gildersleeve, of Middletown, and Monroe Frantz, of Pine Bush. The funeral services were hold at her late home on Monday, Augimt 9, at one o'clock, conducted by Rev. P. C.
