McDade was a member of St. John's-Holy Angels Catholic Church in Newark, where she belonged to the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She moved to Newark from Claymont five years ago. She is survived by her husband, James a son. Wade S.

Schaen Nora R. Schaen. 78, of 2101 Southway Drive, Kimberton, Newark, died of cancer Tuesday at the home of her son at 51 Wedgewood Road, Newark. Mrs. Schaen was a member of Friendship Temple 6 of the Pythian Sisters and Rebecca Lodge.

Her husband, George, died in 1972. She is survived by three sons, George William and Charles all of Newark; two daughters, Lorraine Fretz of Newark and Nora Lee Vorous of Smyrna; a brother, Wilson Beck of Newark; three sisters, Margaret Moyer of West Chester. and Erma Williams and Elizabeth A. She was shot to death Saturday while working at the Sussex County garbage transfer station on Sussex 214 near Anderson Crossroads, south of Lincoln. Mrs. Reed retired in 1982 as a seamstress for the Graves Manufacturing Co.

in Milton after 45 years service. She was the DenM-cratic committee woman for the 4ft and the 37th districts in Sussex County. She was a member of the Milton VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Democratic Club of Sussex County. She is survived by her husband, Carl a son, Richard R. of Milton; two sisters, Grace Conway.

Robert J. McQoskey Robert J. McCloskey. 71, of 2406 Frederick Roselle, died of a ruptured aneurysm Monday in the Delaware Divison. Mr.

McCloskey was a retired office manager for Hercules Inc. in Wilmington. He was a member of Armstrong Lodge 26. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Roselle, where he served on the finance committee and administrative board. He was past president of the National Office Managers Association of Delaware and past president of the Antique Auto Club-Brandywine Region.

He is survived by his wife, Mary two daughters, Margo M. Davis of Coventry, and Roberta M. Williams of San Jose, two brothers, William of Cokesbury Village and Roland of Elkton, six grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Services will be Thursday night at p.m. at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road, where friends may call one hour prior to services, and where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30.

Graveside services will also be held Friday at 1 p.m. in East Waterford (Pa.) Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Delaware Association for the Blind, 800 West Wilmington 19899. Sister St. Mark FLOURTOWN, Pa.

Sister St. Mark, the former Catherine Gertrude Kelly, who taught at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parochial School in Liftwood, near Wilmington, for more than 10 years, died of liver failure in St. Joseph's Villa, Flourtown, on Saturday. She was 68. Sister St.

Mark, of the Catholic Sisters of St. Joseph, was a native of Philadelphia. She taught sixth grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary until about three years ago, when she began teaching in a program for gifted and talented students. She was admitted to St. she had been a patient since May.

Mrs. Miller had worked in the foster grandparents program in the Newark School District for 11' years. She was a member of the Newark Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and crocheting When she was younger, she worked in a toy factory in Newark, N.J., and in department stores there. Mrs. Miller was good with her hands, and especially enjoyed being around children, according to her daughter, Viola Ruth Finnan of Newark.

Her husband, William died in 1967. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a brother, Peter Hahnemann of Caldwell, N.J.; a sister. Lillian Stotz of Union, N.J.; a grandson and six great-grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Robert T.

Jones and Son Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Newark, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Head of Christiana Cemetery, Newark. Norman E. Collins Sr.

MIDDLETOWN Norman E. Collins Sr. 71, of 1306 Middle Neck Road, died Monday in the Delaware Division after a heart attack at home. Mr. Collins retired in 1973 after working for 23 years at the General Motors Boxwood assembly plant.

After retiring, he went into farming, and at the time of his death was a corn seed dealer for Agway Co. in Middletown. He was a member of the board of directors of Southern States Cooperative Inc. and a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau of Cecil County. He was an active member of the Delaware Agricultural Museum in Dover.

He was a 60-year member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Middletown. Surviving are his wife, Katie Leola.a son, Norman E. Jr. of Newark; a daughter, Brenda C. Currey of Melrose, a brother, Gilbert L.

of Middletown; and three grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Daniels Hucthison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad where friends may call Thursday night after 7. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Mr. Lynch retired in the 1970s from Hercules Inc. in California as director of safety and personnel. He was a 1949 graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. He moved to California from Delaware 24 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Mae White; two sons, H. Merrill Lynch III of Benicia, and C. Clark Lynch of Rodeo, a daughter, Susan Lynch of Monterey; a brother, William S. Lynch Sr. of Carrcroft, near Wilmington; a sister, J.

Marie Brooks of Tarleton. also near Wilmington; and four grandchildren. Services and burial will be today in San Francisco. George operated the Mary Moore Beauty Salon in Newark for 25 years before retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Newark. Her husband, Renard died in 1979. She is survived by a sister, Lucille M.

Clopper of Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Main and Chapel streets, Newark. There will be no viewing.

Myers Sr. BOWERS BEACH John F. Myers former Harrington police chief, died from complications of a stroke Monday in Kent General Hospital, Dover.

He was 76. Mr. Myers, of D. 1. North Bowers Beach retired in 1967 as a general foreman at the Chrysler Corp Newark assembly plant after 12 years of service.

Before thai, he was chief of police for the town of Harrington in the early, 1950s. He was a member of the North Bowers Beach Fire Company and a Mason. He was a Philadelphia native. Surviving are his wife. Florence two sons, John F.

Carroll Scott Barr 66, of 615 Augustine Bestfieid, died of heart failure Monday in Churchman Village Retirement Home, 4949 Ogletown-Stanton Road, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Mr. Barr retired in 1977 as a machinist at the Amtrak Wilmington Shops after 38 years of service. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Delmar native.

Surviving are his wife, Esther two sons, C. Scott III of New Orleans, and John M. of Newark; two daughters, Marie Eastburn of Newark, and Irma Barr-Heibeck of Bestfieid; a sister, Carrie May Barr-Diehl of Baltimore; and five grandchildren. Holsinger Eleanor Matson Holsinger, 71, of Carrcroft, died of heart failure Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington. A lifelong Wilmington resident, Mrs. Holtsinger was a 1931 graduate of Wilmington High School. She also attended Goldey Beacom College and the University of Delaware.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington. She is survived by her husband, Alden a son, Alden 0. "Dutch" Jr. of Hastings, N.Y.; a daughter, Sandra Holsinger Noel of Santa Barbara, a cousin, Preston Moore of Anaheim, whom Mrs. Holsinger's mother had adopted; a sister, Louise Apsley of Rehoboth Beach; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services and burial will be private. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Elva Gleaves Elva Gleaves, 86, of 1303 Van-dever Wilmington, died from kidney failure Sunday in the Tilton Terrace Nursing Home, 801 N. Broom where she had been a patient for the past two weeeks. Mrs.

Gleaves was a cook at the Salisbury School For Boys in New Hope. for many years before retiring in the early 1960s. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Carmichael, Md. Her husband, Walter, died in the 1940s. She is survived by six sisters, Georganna Kennedy and Elizabeth Minton, both of Philadelphia, Lillie Mae Wright and Florence Wilson, both of Carmichael, Louise Groce, with whom she had lived, and Ber-nice Banks of Ocean City, N.J.

of 2105 Garfield Gwinhurst, died of heart failure Monday in Delaware Division. Mr. Beveridge retired in 1981 as a mechanic for Wilmington Housing Authority, where he had worked for 12 years. Before that, he worked in the warehouse of Brandywine Dealers Reserve, a roofing supply firm at 16th and Church streets in Wilmington. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

and was a member of VFW Hall-Burke Post 5447 and American Legion Stahl Post 30 in Wilmington Manor. He is survived by his wife, Ethel two daughters, Nancy Stearrett and Dorothy Parker, both of New Castle; two brothers, Louis of Arnold, and Robert of Apollo, a sister, Dorothy Breeden of Charlottesville, and three grandchildren. of 1909 Greve died Tuesday from complications of a heart condition in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Pearce was born in San Francisco, but lived in Spring Lake most of her life. She moved to adjacent Spring Lake Heights about 10 years ago. Her husband, Ralph E.

died in 1966. Surviving are a son, Ralph E. Jr. of Wilmington, a daughter, Muriel P. Ostien of Manitou Springs, and six grandchildren.
