He worked for Delmarva Power Light for over 30 years. He was also the co-owner of DIC-MAC, Inc. He was past-president of the Softball Umpires Association, a member of IAABO, a member of PHCC Association of DE, a member of ASHRAE and a former member of Grace Methodist Church. Mr. Garvine is survived by his wife, Charlotte 3 sons, Richard Jr.

of Miami, FL, Clifford F. and William both of Wilmington, DE; 2 daughters, Susan G. James Orsino James Orsino, 93, of Elmwood Newark, DE, died on Sunday November 28, 1999. Mr. Orsino had been a mechanic for Republic Aviation in Long Island NY, retiring in 1955 after 21 years! He was a member of Newark Senior Center and enjoyed walking at the Christiana Mall. Mr. Orsino's wife, Angela C.

(nee Lambom) Bidwell Age 74, of Lincoln University, PA, died on Monday November 29, 1999 at the Laurelwood Nursing Home in Elkton, MD after a brief illness. Mrs. Bidwell was the widow of the late Arthur H. Bidwell who passed away on May 29, 1989. Born on October 13, 1925 in West Grove, PA she was the daughter of the late William K.

and Silvia Jane Hastings Lamborn. She has resided in the Lincoln University area all her life. She was a member of the Union Fire Company 1 of Oxford, PA and a member of the Soroptimist Club of Oxford. Mrs. Lamborn was cafeteria manager at the Oxford Area High School from September 1958 to June 1991.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Fred A. Lamborn of Little Britain, PA and Frank S. Lamborn of Elkton, MD; and a sister, Vivian D. Whiteside of Oxford, PA. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive her.

Beloved William Anderson Henry Of 225 N. Hermitage, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, he was born in Columbus, OH on April 17, 1908. He graduated from the Episcopal Academy in Overbrook, PA in 1926 and from the University of Virginia in 1930. He worked as a tax specialist in the Legal Department of the DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE for approximately 40 years. He retired to live at the Ocean Reef Club near Key Largo, FL.

He was a member of the Ocean Reef Club and the Card Sound Golf Club in Florida, the Wilmington Country Club and Vicmead Hunt Club in Wilmington. He was a Vestryman of Trinity Episcopal Church in Wilmington, DE during World War II and until 1950. He was also the last president of the Board of Trustees of the New Castle County Workhouse in Delaware and turned over its keys to then Governor Caleb Boggs for the establishment of the State Correctional Institution in July, 1956. She was a lifetime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and its organist for 59 years. For her dedication to the church, Mrs. Samluk was honored as St.

Anthony's Parish 'Woman of the in 1987. Graduating from Wilmington High School in 1940, Mrs. Samluk is credited for composing her class song, as well as other compositions. Until recently, she had been an active member of her class reunion committee, something she enjoyed very much. Mrs.

Samluk was a member of the American Guild of Organists and a freguent guest organist at other parishes. She was also certified to teach piano, and she did for many years. Her music career spans many years of prestigious studies, awards and certifications. Some of her former students have become concert artists. Mrs.

Samluk is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jesse W. Samluk; her daughter, Rosanne Brandau; and son, John J. Samluk. Surviving grandchildren are Jessica Kilmon, Marissa, Christina and Jesse P. Samluk.

He later relocated to Delaware and worked as an electrician with I.B.E.W. Local 313 for 43 years, retiring in 1993. He maintained his membership with Local 313, celebrating 49 years. His wife of 42 years, Mamie T. (Nepa) Combs passed away January 2, 1994.

He was also predeceased by his brother, James E. Combs (April 9, 1997) and his sister, Violet G. Evick (Dec. 13, 1986). Mr.

Frances C. Lemke Age 90, formerly of Newark, DE, died Monday November 29, 1999 at the Methodist Country House, her home since 1993. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Mrs. Lemke was a 1931 graduate of New York State Teachers College (now called University at Albany, State University of New York) with a B.A. in education.

She was a teacher for the Schoharie, NY Board of Education before her 1939 marriage to Charles H. Lemke. Mrs. Lemke was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter I in Delaware, the P.E.O.

Sisterhood, Chapter AR in New York (where she also served as Past President), the Newark United Methodist Church and its Womens' Association. She was a charter member of the Heritage Circle at the University at Albany and served as Past President of the Parent Education group of North Junior High School in Niagara Falls. In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by her son, James C. Lemke of Niagara Falls; her daughter, Mary L. Waters of Roanoke, VA; and 6 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 3 at the Danby Chapel of the Methodist Country House, 4830 Kennett Pike. Interment will be private.
