Harington, 64, of Hunt Lane, Fayelteville, chief system electrical engineer for i a a a Mohawk Power died yesterday morning in State University Hospital after a short iilness. Mr. Harrington was a native of Niagara Falls where he was employed by Niagara Mohawk before coming to Sy- lectri 10 years ago. He was nationally recognized as an electric transmission i neering authority.

He was a graduate of the DeVeaut School in Niagara Falls and was graduated in 1922 from the Cornell University College of Engineering. He first joined the Niagara Falls Power Co. as an electrical engineer and later served i the commercial department. He was named load supervisor of the operating companies of the Niagara Mohawk system in 1930 and chief system electrical engineer in 1950, with headquarters in Syracuse. He was selected by the Federal Power Commission as a member of its national techni- officiating.

Mr. Harrington was a fellow of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and a member of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers. He had served as a second lieutenant in the A Engineer Corps reserve. He also was affiliated with the Edison Electric Institute and Niagara Frontier Lodge 132, FAM, Niagara Falls.
