The 143 enlisted men and five officers were to prepare for a full dress inspection later this afternoon during a memorial parade and a visit by Gov.

William G. MiUiken. After the parade, the troops were to be released for the weekend and some of the were to return home and report back to Grayling for the second and final week of the encampment. During the two-day bivouac, the Holland unit took part in an air mobile assault using 10 helicopters to move the troops 20 miles to an objective. No injuries were reported in the air drop.

The Eagleton family has many friends among the St. Louis colony on the Lakeshore.

Dies Of Injuries ALLEGAN Martin Carl Modrak, 19, of Fennville, injured in a head-on auto crash June 24 southwest of died at 2:30 a.m. today in 'Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids of head and multiple injuries. Modrak, a June graduate of Fennville High School where he was on the football, track and baseball teams, was the 12th traffic victim in Allegan County this year compared with seven last year at this time. Allegan County deputies saic Modrak was a passenger in a car driven by Kevin Menear, 18 of route 2, Fennville, that cross ed the center line in a no pass ing zone along 122nd Ave. near 64th St.

Thursday, Tom Eagleton was a happy-go-lucky delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Today he is the convention's nominee for vice president and the fun times seem to be over. "You're kidding," the 42-year- old freshman senator from Missouri replied when Sen. George McGovern called his hotel room to say he wanted Torn to take second place on the party's presidential ticket, "I'm dead serious," McGovern replied. "Let me hasten to say yes," Eagleton said, "before you change your mind." Military sources said intense naval and air support helped the 800 marines battle through the Communist ring and that U. S. Army helicopters for the first time since Tuesday managed to land at the marine field headquarters a mile northeast of Quang Tri with supplies and reinforcements. 3 Arrested On Drug Law Violations Three persons were arraigned in Holland District court today on alleged drug law violations following their arrests Thursday night by Holland detectives.

Michael Lokker 35 East 28th demanded examination to charges of sale of LSD, sale of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to transport. Total bond of $6,000 was not furnished Sally VandenBerg, 18, of 113 West 18th demanded examination to a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to transport and bond of $2,000 was not furnished. Douglas Sloothaak of 433 Butternut pleaded innocent to a charge of possession of marijuana and bond of $1,000 was not furnished. All were remanded to the Ottawa county jail. Police said they recovered 25 pounds of marijuana with the arrest of the trio.

Officers said the VandenBerg woman and Lokker were arrested in a car along Washington Ave. near 33rd St. while Sloothaak was arrested later at another location in the city. Lokker was arrested on warrants naming alleged offenses in February, 1972. Wallace Returns To Alabama Home MIAMI (UPI)--George C.
