PAGE TWO THE HOLLAND, MICHIGAN, EVENING SENTINEL MONDAY, JULY Car Pushes Way Into Bedroom MARNE Members of the Paul Norton family, 14942 16th Marne, were surprised to find a one of their bedrooms Sunday night. Ottawa county deputies said an auto driven by Louis De Boer, 21, of Comstock Park, went, out of control while southbound on 16th Ave. one-tenth of a mile north of 1-96 at 10:08 p.m. Sunday. Deputies said the car traveled 203 feet off the road, snapped a utility pole and then crashed into the north side of the Norton house, pushing itself into a bedroom and coming to rest with only two feet of the car extending outside the house.

Three of the Norton children were at home at the time. Only Marcia Norton, reported injured. She was treated in Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and released. Marcia's sister, Joan, 12, and brother, Scott, 9, were not injured. The driver of the car and a passenger, Garold Gorney, 20, of Grand Rapids, were injured and taken to Butterworth Hospital where De Boer was treated and released and Gorney sought his own treatment.

Deputies said De Boer told them he swerved to avoid a dog that ran in front of his car. Investors Guide By Sam Shulsky Q. When is the best time to sell? You made a lucky purchase of an odd-lot of office equipment shares. Earnings a soared from a penny a share a few years ago to 65 cents in ie latest 12-month period. Now, with high money rates seemingly built into our economic structure to stay, utility shares are even less attractive to investors interested in capital growth. Utilities, after all, are a closely regulated service industry and their shares are not likely to double overnight because the company has come up with a new soft lens or a new auto engine. But--in many cases--utility dividend distributions have been rewarding.

I think a fair case can be made that over the years, the increase in dividends paid by leading utility companies have gone a long way toward offsetting the effects of inflation. And the length and stability of these long dividend- paying records are beyond anything offered' by other sections of the market. The petitions were short between 750 and 912 names on the six separate petitions. The group seeking to remove the board members Citizens for Neighborhood Schools-- was given until July 18 to make up the difference or face the prospect of starting all over again. To be valid, the six separate petitions each must contain a minimum of valid signatures. The group sought the recall of the board members when they announced earlier this year that a busing program would be implemented in eight elementary schools this fall. After a court the board finally adopted a busing plan and hopes to begin the switching of children in September.
