THURSDAY, JULY 6, 1961 THE HOLLAND, MICHIGAN, EVENING SENTINEL PAGE THREE Engaged Miss Anne Marie Winterhalder Mr. and Mrs. Anton Winterhalder of Zeeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Marie, to Glenn Stuart Arendsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Arendsen of 110 East 32nd Holland.

Miss Winterhalder is a graduate of Michigan State University where she was affiliated with Sigma Kapsorority. She is presently employed as a stewardess by American Airlines in Detroit. Mr. Arendsen received hisi bachelor's degree from the Michigan College of Mining and Technology where he was a member of Kappa Delta Psi fraternity, and has a master's degree from the Chrysler Institute of Engineering. He is employed by the Central Engineering, division of Chrysler Corporation, and will enter Wayne University's evening law school program in the fall.

Myers Hope Reformed Church was the scene of the candlelight wedding Saturday evening of Miss Barbara Joanne Becker and Lt. Douglas Jack Myers of Fort Huachuca, Ariz. Six-foot candles were used to illuminate the center aisle and cand'es were placed in the windows. A spiral candelabra and candle tree were placed at the altar along with fern. The Rev.

William Hillegonds of Hope Church and Dr. Marion deVelder of Central Avenue Reformed Church, Grand Rapids, and former Hope Church pastor, performed the double ring which united the daughter ceremony. and Mrs. Clarence Becker, 121 East 30th and the son of Mr. and Mrs.

P. H. Myers of Allen. The bride wore a floor-length gown of Schiffli silk organza styled with a fitted basque bodice, embroidered sabrina neckline complemented by brief sleeves. Flowered embroidery encircled the full skirt with diagonal rose-centered back sash falling over the chapel train.

Organza flowers and nylon net leaves formed the headdress which held the bouffant veil of imported illusion. A satin and lace basket with pastel painted daisies accented with ivy was carried by the bride. Miss Betsy Becker, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a white organdy frock styled with a bell skirt, encircled with pink embroidered flowers. scoop neckline and brief sleeves were features.

For their wedding trip to Northern Michigan and Arizona, the new Mrs. Myer wore a Lanz ensemble of white with red print and white accessories and a corsage of red sweetheart roses. The bride is a June graduate of Central Michigan University, where she was affiliated with Delta Zeta sorority. In the fall she will teach in the Fort Huachuca Accommodations School. The groom is a 1960 graduate of Central Michigan University and was affiliated with Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

After July 20 the couple will be at home at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. where the groom is a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Miss Sharon Raak, 10, Feted at Birthday Party Miss Sharon Raak was honored. at a birthday party at her home on 128th Ave. on her 10th birthday Saturday.

Karen Bultman Honored On Ninth Birthday Karen Bultman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bultman of 198 East 35th was honored Saturday night at a family wiener roast and birthday party in honor of her ninth birthday anniversary. Girl Loses Finger In Fireworks Accident ISHPEMING (UPI) Susan Polkki, 8. lost her right index finger Wednesday when an aerial bomb she was carrying exploded. She also suffered cuts to her chin, forehead and hands. State Police charged Carl Peterson with illegal possession of fireworks.

Peterson is the operator of the camp where the accident I occurred. Haven Reformed Church in Hamilton was the scene of the wedding which united Miss Sylvia Hope Klokkert and Norman Dale Juries on Friday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. S. C.

De Jong formed the double ring ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Klokkert and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Justin Jurries, all of Hamilton.

Altar decorations included palms, spiral candelabra and two bouquets of white gladioli and blue and white peonies. The bride came down the aisle, escorted by her father, in a floorlength gown of silk organza with a scooped neckline edged in jewelled medallions. Similar jewelled motifs were scattered over the bouffant skirt which ended in a chapel train. Her butterfly veil of imported illusion fell from a lace crown embroidered in sequins and pearls. She carried a semi-cascade bouquet of white roses and blue carnations accented by garlands of ivy, satin streamers and rose buds on a white Her crystal necklace was a gift from the groom.

Mrs. Terry Skoglund, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor. She wore a light blue organza gown featuring a bodice with flowerettes held in place by seed pearls. She carried a natural reed basket filled with blue daisies and snap dragons. Calvin Klokkert, brother of the Fennville Norman Dale Juries (Vander Hoop photo) bride, served as best man while ushers were Lloyd and Wayne Juries, brothers of the groom.

Miss Norma Yonker. organist. accompanied the soloist, Dr. H. W.
