Tile new machinery (which was built by the John E, Mitchell Company of St Loiiis and Dallas) comprises two batteries of extracting and clieatting units designe to operate in connec tion Avith a new patented method which involves separating the hiills, trash^ etc., from the cotton while it is being acted Upon by regulated currents of heated air. This method not only insures the best possible cleaning results without the slightest injury of any kind to the staple, but the action of the currents of heated air on the cottoivfibres makes it Jppssible for the gins to remove uniformly all lint of value from the seed w.hich. of course, insures maximum yield or turn-out.
