Las Vegas Rio Suite Hotel Casino marks its 5th year in business About 280 seats, four new food stations and a bar have been added to the Carnival World Buffet. With the support of the corporation, Rawls has made the United Negro College Fund his beneficiary, raising more than $100 million during the Lou Rawls' Parade of the Stars telethon in 1992. Rawls also organizes the Lou Rawls Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the foundation, which he believes "helps children to become educated, useful human beings."
