Trustees Keep 17 Mills AMERICAN FALLS Trustees of school district 381 in recessed session considered the budget for the 1955-56 term in preparation for l.he budget hearing May 9. The mill levy was left at 17 mills and board members expressed satisfaction that they were able to budget for next year's maintenance and operation retaining the same mill levy as last year, which is the levy since the district was Also determined on the budget ivas 4.5 mill levy for the bond issue on the new grade school building which is intended to pay off $26,400 on the principle and $13,000 Interest. The district has been free of bonded indebtedness. The total budget for maintenance and operation has been set for $283,111.98 as compared with $255,266 budgeted last year. The difference will be taken up in teacher' salary increases of a blanket.
