March 24. at AU Statistics show that most of the injuries suffered at the hands of burglars are caused by attempts to get to a gun or use a weapon of some sort. Here is a burglar alarm that beats the burglar "to the punch." Invented by a retired police commissioner, it consists of a small device made to fasten to the side of a window or door. Entrance by an intruder trips a trigger on the device, exploding a blank cartridge. It is a stouthearted burglar who lingers long when evidently some one "takes a shot" at him.
