Monday at her home. Death was attributed to an apparent heart 'attack. Born July 20, 1920, in Sum- County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Lottie Dowdy of Union and the late Charles 'Ernest Whitlock. She had lived her entire life in Summers County and was member of the James Chapel Methodist Church at True.

She was employed at the Hinton Hospital. Other survivors include her ihusband, Thomas J. Cooper; ifour sons, Thomas and Roy, jboth serving with the Navy in Norfolk. Kenneth of Hinton and Benny Joe, at home; four brothers, Ira of Sarasota, Albert of Lonsjacre, Charles of Ohio, and Billy of Ohio; six sisters. Mrs.

'Myrtle Parker, Mrs. Evelyn Meadows and Mrs. Janice Wei- itip all nf Hintnn. and Mrs. jkle, all of Hinton, and Mrs.

Irene Shrewsbury. Mrs. Betty Dowdy and Mrs. Peggy Harris, all of Ravenna, Ohio, and five grandchildren. The body is at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. 1969 Snow Queen Is Crowned Miss Lois Ann Donovan was crowned Miss Snow Queen 1969 at the 43rd annual Christmas party held Sunday at the Clifford Armory in Ronceverte by Miss Dominion of Canada, Miss Jacquie Perrin. The i climaxed an afternoon and evening of votes to select one of the junior high candidates in the area. Also, 4,000 Christmas stockings will be filled with goodies and will be given out by Miss Snow- Queen, her court, Santa and helpers Dec. 24 at 2 p.m.

at the CO Plaza in Ronceverte. Miss Donovan, 14, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.

A social hour was held from 6:30 p.m. until serving time at 7:30 and the women of the Moose served the dinner. Members were entertained vith piano music by Percy killings. The group joined ogether in singing a medley of Christmas carols. Members also extended an nvitation for Lions members to oin the Moose Lodge and the jroup was then taken on a tour hrough the building.

The Boys Choir, a selec group from the elementary school, will sing, "T'was the Night "Adeste Fideles," Friendly Beast" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas." Ronald Cook, 55, Dies; Rites Slated PINEV1LLE (RNS) Ron- aid R. Cook, 55, of Pineville, 'ormerly of Orange, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday in a Lex- hospital.

Born Nov. 27, 1914, at Beckley, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A.

Cook, a veteran of World War II and a brick layer. He is survived by a brother, Robert L. of Pineville. The funeral will be I p.m. Wednesday at the Robertson- Foglesong Funeral Chapel in Pineville with Rev.

has completed two years of service with the Navy and received his discharge Friday Norfolk, Va.
