BECKLEY SIX 8 RESOLUTIONS ARE PASSED BY SCOUT COUNCIL Eight resolutions were presented at the recent announce meeting of the Appalachian Boy Scouts of America held in Beckley. The resolutions were presented committee composed of B. C. by a Minter, chairman, and R. W.

GENERAL ELECTRIC The Brownies or Santa's helper composed of Beckley's Junior Chamber of Commerce members' and local firemen got their work off to a flying start yesterday when an estimated 500 used toys were gathered up by Junior Chamber members. Approximately 65 calls were made to Beckley homes to gather the toys--no longer used--to pass to some child this Christmas at Mac's needle Memorial Toy Fund parties. The damaged toys will be repaired by local firemen. Repair material will be donated by local stores, it explained.

Taking part in yesterday's drive were James Albert Holliday, Tish, Bill Houchins, McCulloch, Bob Wilson, Barret, Earl Carter, Jim Kessin- Gene Goster, Joe Hall, and Basil Meadows.
