Past Officers Club Event Held At Princeton Home BECKLEY POST-HERALD, BECKLEY, W. VA THURSDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 3, 19(V4 PRINCETON (RNS) The Post Officers Club of the Order of Eastern Star met Friday at the home of Mrs. F. B. Wimmer on Wallace Street in Princeton.

Members held a covered- dish dinner preceding the general session. The Rev. Dwight Dickenson gave the devotional message Oak Hill Seeking Post Office Bids WASHINGTON (RNS) The General Services Administration announced Wednesday that bids will be received until Wednesday, September 30, for a modernization job on the United States Post Office at Oak Hill. The GSA said that bids on the Fayette County work are being solicited from small business firms. David Phillips, GSA's Region 3 administrator, stated that the work calls for the removal of the incandescent lighting and the installation of new fluorescent lighting and electrical system.

Plans, specifications and bid forms are available from the Design and Construction Division of the Public Buildings Service, GSA, Region 3, Room 2647, 7th and Streets, S.W., Washington, D. C. Bids will be opened at 2 p.m. on September 30. from Psalm 133.

Florence Von Court, Mrs. Layland Man's Services Friday OAK HILL (RNS) John H. Baumgartner, 57, died Wednesday at his home at nearby Layland after a short illness. Baumgartner was a coal miner and was a member of the Baptist Church. A resident of Layland, he at one time lived at Oak Hill.

He was born at Minden in Fayette County on November 25, 1906. Surviving are: one daughter Mrs. Jacqueline Baker of Mas sillon, Ohio; two brothers, Clyde Baumgartner of Shady Spring and Arthur Baumgartner of Lansing; and three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bradley of Staunton, Mrs. Hollie Mae Scott of East Rainelle and Mrs.

Ruth Smith of Alloy. Funeral services will be conducted at II a.m. Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home at Oak Hill by the Rev. Randolph Johnson. Burial will be the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Oak Hill.

The body will remain at the funeral home until time for the services. The cheetah often attains a speed of 70 miles per hour, according to the Encyclopaedia Britannica. Lessie S. Trimble Dies In Hospital COLCORD (RNS) Mrs. Lessie Stover Trimble, about 72, died while undergoing surgery Wednesday in a Charleston hospital.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pratt. She was a former resident of the Colcord area and a daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. George Stover of Ameagle. Survivors include her husband, Arch; three daughters, Maria, Betty Lou and Janet Jarrett, all at home; three sis- ters, Mrs.

B. Wimraer. Esther Honaker Taken By Death ALDERSON (RNS) Mrs. Esther Rhodes Honaker, 78, of a.m. Rites Incomplete For Roy Bowyer QUINWOOD (RNS) Roy Malcomb Bowyer, 56, of Quinwood died Tuesday in a Beckley hospital.

Death was attributed to a heart attack. Bowyer was a retired miner. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Bowyer; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Bowyer of Quinwood; five stepsons, William Day of Quinwood, Buron Day, stationed with the Air Force in Walden, N.

Leslie Day, stationed with the Army in Germany, George Day with the Air Force in Mercedes, and James Day of Chillicothe, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Sereda Kelley of Nitro, Mrs. Madeline Kessler of Rainelle, Mrs. Helen Pittsenbarger of Rupert and Mrs. Bobbie Pittsenbarger of Hines; and four brothers, Carlos, of Hines, Everett, of Quinwood, Walter of McRoss and Billy Joe Bowyer of Rainelle.

The body is at Wallace and "Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in East Rainelle. Arrangements are incomplete. Funeral Set Today For Wesley Martin PRINCETON (RNS) Funeral services for Wesley Martin, 81, of the Princeton-Beckley Road will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in the Freewill Baptist Church at Beeson with the Rev. Watch, Ring Stolen PRINCETON (RNS) A ladies' wrist watch and ring were stolen from a home on the River Road near Freeman in Mercer County during the State Police said. Troopers identified the occupant of the house as Betty Jean Shrader. She was away from home from Saturday until Monday.

The thief or thieves entered the home by breaking a bedroom window. The house had been ransacked. Police said. Trooper W. A.

Johnson is conducting the investigation. QUINWOOD (RNS)--Emerson Edward Nutter, 80, of Quinwood died Wednesday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Quinwood, he was a retired miner. He was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren at Fayetteville. Born Aug.

30, 1884, he was a son of the late Johnson and Katherine Nutter. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lettie Nutter of Quinwood; five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Odell of Crichton, Mrs. Tressie Kessler of Cowan, Mrs.

Jessie Seabolt of Richwood, Mrs. Lossie Huffman of Quinwood and Mrs. Flossie Dorsey of Hominy Falls; three sons, Alfonzo and Arnold Nutter, both of Quinwood, and James Nutter of Hines; five sisters, Mrs. Zada Groves and Mrs. Lottie Wyatt, both of Quinwood, Mrs.
