ASSOCIATED JTSZZ VGROCERS ff fZ3 (( Soleri Magic Touches Stills' Concert, Music By JOHN FOREST Witnessing Stephen Stills in concert last Saturday at the Paolo Soleri outdoor theater in Santa Fe was like getting reacquainted with old friends. Every song Stills played and he has such a catalog of great songs to pull from triggered thoughts of songs I wanted to hear. Thirty minutes into the concert I realized he could play all night and still not get to all of them. This was a fitting close for the Big River "Summer in Santa Fe Series" at the Paolo Soleri.

Stephen Stills' band was a selection of the finest session-men California has to offer. Mike Finne-gan was on keyboards, and Finnegan (to pick one of his hundreds of recorded performances) played electric piano on Dave Mason's "Feelin' Alright." Percussionist Joe Lala has played with Crosby, Stills and Nash and sometimes Young and has just finished Neil Young's worldwide tour. Kenny Pasarelli played bass. Kenny was in Barnstorm, Joe Walsh's band, post-James Gang, pre-Eagles. Rick Jaegger was on drums, Michael Ster-gis on rhythm guitar and vocals.

Stergis, who fronted the band on a couple of numbers, has been with Stills since 1980. Kim Bullard also played keyboards. During the past two seasons of Big River productions at the Paolo Soleri, I have seen some incredible events. I have seen artist after artist realize the magic of the Soleri, look to the stars, moon and mountains, look back to his hands on the instrument and realize the notes were not all his own. The place and the people contribute to a free sharing of audience and performer.

The magic of the Paolo Soleri cannot be overemphasized. 2LTR. BTLS. i ALL VARIETIES IS 10 OZ. CANS Lay's Potato Chips FISHER Dry Roasted Peanuts RAGU CHEESE OR PEPPERONI Single Pizza Mix RAGU CHEESE OR PEPPERONI P0IAI0 CHIPS SUNSHINE SALTINE OR UNSALTED KrisDY 16 OZ BOX Double 8 OZ.
