Tuesday in home of Mrs. Waiter H. Wingo, Garden Heights Addition, Lewisburg. Mrs. Wingo introduced the guest speaker, Mrs.

Marie Mitchell of White Sulphur Springs, who demonstrated the proper type of makeup for an individual, and the proper method of applying it. She also gave beauty hints for skin care. It was announced that a pro gressive dinner would be helc by the chapter for members and their husbands or guests in ear ly December. The next meeting will be held Nov. 16 at the home of Mrs Marie Leist of Ronceverte and chapter sponsor will presen the cultural program on "Cloth ing for Madame." Thanksgiving Is Theme For Program At Hines Rainelle Women Will Meet Today RAINELLE (RNS) The Rainelle Woman's Club will meet today at 7:30 p.m. in the social room of the Rainelle Methodist Church. The public affairs department, crime prevention division, will have charge of the program and will present Judge Charles L. Garvin of Fayetteville as guest speaker.

Delegation Attends Dinner At Concord JflNTON (RNS) A delegation of Women from the Hinton Chapter of the American Association of University Women attended a point dinner in the State Room of Concord College Saturday in honor of Dr. Anna Dale Kek, AAUW state president. The Hinton group was composed of Mrs. Claude S.

Davidson Mrs. Fred B. Wyand, Mrs. Roscoe Hedrick, Mrs. W.

J. Gaal and Mrs. Curtis Anderson. Dr. Kek, registrar and Latin instructor at Davis and Elkins College, addressed the group preceding the dinner summarizing the history and purpose of the AAUW and discussed briefly the four areas of study for the two-year period.

Mrs. Paul N. Chryssikos, president of the Bluefield branch conducted the business session; Mrs. Lucile Bird of the Concord branch introduced the guests and Mrs. Fred B.

Wyanc of the Hinton branch offered the invocation preceeding the dinner. Miss Damaris Wilson, dean of women at Concord College and first vice president of the West Virginia branch of AAUW, served as coordinator for the entire meeting, with representation from Beckley, Bluefield, Nine members and the fpllow- ng guests attended Mrs. Donnie Boone, Mrs. Thelma Spencer, Pamele Spencer, Pamela Spencer and Peggy Spencer. It was decided to give a gift of "baby clothing to Ron and Odessa White, who are now Irving as missionaries in Nishin- omiya City, Japan.

Plans also were completed for the annual Thanksgiving dinner which will be held Nov. 17 at the home of Mrs. Ralph Lipps. The next meeting will be held Dec. 3 with Mrs.

Lottie Judy and Mrs. Thelma Wiseman as hostesses. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Moore to the guests and members, Mrs. Thelma Wiseman, Mrs.

Lottie Judy. Hot Dog Supper Held For 4-H'ers SMOOT A hot dog supper was held at the home of Mrs. Laird Wall at Alderson Monday for members of the Smoot Hilltop Hustlers 4-H Club. Taking part in the devotional were Duane Cruse and Elma and Roger Jones. 'Committees were assigned by Karen Welch.

They are: Program, Ruth Burns and Linda Wall; finance, Delma Jones Karen Welch; health, Mike Hutsenpiller and Anna safety, Kenny Lively and Judy Fugate; conservation, Kermit Holliday and Ronnie Patterson, and recreation, Roger Jones and Kerry Holliday. Couple Observes 50th Anniversary BELLWOOD (RNS) Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Carter of Bellwood celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday with open house held at their home from 1 until 6 p.m.

The couple was married Nov. 5, 1915 in the bride's home at Meadow Creek by the Rev. Dave Richmond. Mrs. Carter is the former Lena Bowles, daughter of the late Charles and Ada Bowles of Meadow Creek.

He is the son of the late Ivlathew and Margaret Carter of Meadow Creek. They are the parents of four children, Mrs. Margie Bragg of Beckley; Mrs. Thomas Maynard of Charleston, S. Charles Carter of Flint, and Mrs.

Chester Walker of Springdale. They are the grandparents of 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A double-ring ceremony was performed Sunday to reunite the couple by the Rev. Tom was maid of honor, and another daughter, Mrs. Walker, bridesmaid.

The bride's table was laid in white linen and was decoratec with an arrangement of gold xn.ipons and gold, tapers. The iered cake was topped with 3he gold fifty and decorated with gold wedding bells. The children served as the host and hostesses. They wer assisted by Mrs. Arnold Sims Mrs.

Carter, Concord and Hinton in attendance. branches Nursery To Open JUMPING BRANCH (RNS)-- Keeping pace with the growth and development of the area, George and Mildred Scott are completing plans for the opening of a nursery and greenhouse. It will be known as the Oak Lane Nursery and Greenhouse and will supply both wholesale and retail needs with cut flowers as the principal crop.

Nursery stock also will be available. An all-glass greenhouse, 30 by 50, has been constructed and within the next week the first crop of mums will be ready for cutting in five colors, yellow, bronze, pink, pink-cream and white. Scott, a Chesapeake and Ohio telegrapher, began raising the plants as a hobby.
