Coal River Area Colccrd Items COLCORD (RNS) Mr. and Mrs. Billy Butler and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dillon, spent the weekend with relatives in Ohio.

They visited their sons and daughters-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dillon am Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillon and a son-in-law and daughter Mr.

Rainelle Area RAINELLE (RNS) An old- fashioned square dance will be held from 9 p.m. until midnight Feb. 21 at the East Rainelle Firehouse.

Miss Darlene Bales Bride Of Scarless RAINELLE (RNS) Mrs. Emily Bates of East Rainelle has announced the marriage of her daughter, Darlene, to Tommy Scarless, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Scarless Jr. of East Rainelle.

The ceremony was performed Jan. 29 at the Clifton Forge, Baptist Church. The bride is a graduate of Rainelle High School and has been employed by the G. C. Murphy Co, in East Rainelle.

Scarless, also a RHS graduate, recently returned from a tour of duty with the Navy in Panama. The couple will make their home in Norfolk, where he has been assigned for further duty. Manse Undergoing Major Renovation COLCORD (RNS) The Colcord Presbyterian manse is currently being renovated at an estimated cost of $18,000. The dormitory rooms, which once housed students of Pattie C. Stockdale Home School, are being transformed into living quarters.

Two new bathrooms will be installed, along with a gas furnace and other improvements. Thearea landmark was built about 1900 and used as a church and also as a school until 1935. It was once the sole source for high school training in the area. Rev. and Mrs.
