Paint Sale Pat King Leaving UNM mm GS 12 pnce a breakthrough in interest rates for savers! ma .99 A gallon, Pat King, assistant basketball coach at the University of New Mexico, and a standout Lobo guard during the early 197(Ts, has resigned his position to take over as the assistant basketball coach at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. King, who played for the WAC championship team of 1974, became a fulltime assistant at the start of last season and helped groom the Lobos to a 24-4 season and another WAC crown. He had spent two seasons as a graduate assistant before Head Coach Norm Ellenberger lifted him to a fulltime assistant. King will assist Coach Jody Gardner at Northern Arizona, a member of the Big Sky Conference. A re- Elacement for King at New lexico will be named in the near future.

"Pat feels this a very positive step in his coaching career," said Ellenberger. "We hate to lose him as he is one of the most industrious young men we've had here, but getting into another major college program is a positive step for him. Our program will miss him." "It's hard to leave the University of New Mexico after being a part of this basketball program for the last seven years," said King. I've learned nearly everything I know from Coach Ellenberger and Coach (John) Whisenant, but I feel it's time to move on." While playing for the Lobos, King appeared in every game after his freshman season and was a crowd favorite with his energetic defensive play. He averaged 10.9 points per game his senior year.

One of the best free throw shooters ever at UNM, King sank 84.3 per cent of his gratis shots as a senior to lead the WAC. on "vinyl fexterior flat in 8 colors Smooth one-coat coverage on "Fresh Interior flat latex paint Available in 15 colors 49 4 The Reg. 8.99 gallon. 1 off.
