I a a a a a a a a RAINELLE AREA NEWS News aid- Circulation. Office, Phons East Painelle 3901 Roy H. Dorman Taken By Death EAST RAINELLE, Dec. 1 Roy Hamilton Dorman, a native: Spruce, Pocahontas County, and a son of Mr. and Mrs.

Floyd! Dorman of East Rainelle, died Wednesday, November 30th in the Veteran's Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, Mr. Dorman's death was caused boy Hodkins disease, and been ill for more than a year. veteran of World War II, he a member of the 9th Air Force. The body will arrive at Hinton tonight at 7:20 and will be re-: moved to the Wallace Wallace Mortuary. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Surviving besides the parents: are his wife, Mrs. Bridie Dorman, a native of Ireland to whom Mr. Dorman was married in London, also two young sons, Roy H. Dorman, and Michael rence Dorman; also two brothers, Leo E. Dorman of East Rainelle, and Carl E.

Dorman of Clayton, Indiana, and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Hinkle of East Rainelle. Frank Surface Feted By Birthday Dinner MEADOW BRIDGE, Dec.

Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Cole, of East Rainelle and Kenneth Bradey, who lives on the West coast, have returned to their post at Camp Lee, after visiting in East Rainelle and Lewisburg.

When they returned to their post they found that each of them had been promoted to private first class. Pyt. Cole received his basic training at Fort Knox, then graduated from quartermaster school at Camp Lee. He served as instructor until this work was discontinued. He is now working in the typing pool.

The purchase price was not named.

Gray Gables w'as built more than sixty years ago by the late Dr. H. McClung, prominent Greenbrier County physician. The house is located prominently on a hill and is surrounded by many acres level land. Some acreage has been sold from time to time.

Of frame construction and conalso has. a third story sisting of eleven rooms, the house! of one large room and a gable consisting room, completely round and al-. ways of much interest and attraction to youngsters who visited in the home. at the Layland Cemetery for John Haynes, 74-year-old retired miner who died Tuesday, November 29th at! his home. Money has also been raised and further discussion was had on the community Christmas tree and party held annually, and to be held this year on Friday evening, December 23rd. John Bragg officiating. Interment will be in the Janeite Cemetery with Wallace Wallace officiating. VISITS FATHER RUPERT, Dec. Pvt. Willis Beverage, of Fort Knox, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his father, Howard Beverage, of Rupert.
