the the BECKLEY, W. THURSDAY MORNING, New Principal, Teacher At Pax Edenan Jackson of Oak Hill has been named acting principal of Kingston High School. He replaces Kenneth Legg, who resigned to accept a position the West Virginia Educational Association. Jackson is shown with Mrs. Charlotte Harless 'of Pax, a new teacher at the school, who will sponsor the junior class and teach social subjects.

Formerly an instructor of commercial studies at the school, Jackson assumed his new duties Monday as did Mrs. Harless. He was graduated from Morris Harvey College. with a bachelor of science degree and is married to the former Zoe Mann of Scarbro, who is a teacher at the Page Elementary School. They have three daughters, Donna, Debby, and Dawn.

Mrs. Harless, also a graduate of Morris Harvey CoLlege, has a bachelor of arts degree. She is the former Charlotte Parley of Elkview and is married to Billy Harless, basketball coach at Pax High School. This is her first teaching position. 'There will be a joint session with members of the Farm Bureau at 10:30 a.m. with "Gardening" as the topic of talk by H. L. Riggle, countty agriculture, agent. At noon a dinner will be served followed by separate business sessions.

The New Haven Club will have change of the devotional. The Laurel Club will furnish the vegetables for the dinner, the club from Pax will bring the salads, and dessert will be furnished by the Gatewood Homemakers Club. The Arrowhead Club of Fayetteville will have the clean-up duties, according to Mrs. Beatrice F. Whanger, home demonstration agent.

Conference Set By Foodhandlers FAYETTEVILLE (RNS) Z. r. Legg, senior sanitarian of the Fayette County Department, announced today the annual Foodhandlers Conference will be held at the American Legion Building in Fayetteville, (March 24 and 25. The classes will start at 2:30 p.m. each day and will last for approximately one and a half hours.

It is mandatory that all parties working in food handling establishment such as soda foun-1 tains, drug stores, restaurants, ice cream parlors, school hot lunch programs, cafes, sandwich bars, and beer parlors, attend these classes each. third year in Torder do secure. a renewal on their Food Handlers Permit. It is important that all parties thai did not attend the 1959 conference attend this year. All es tablishments that are required to attend the conference this year have been their notice.

All food handling, permits issued prior school will become void on the date of the conference. Rally Dinner Slated By Church Women OAK HILL (RNS) Mrs. T. M. Martin, Mrs.

C. Fourney home in the village of Glen Ferris as a parsonage. Purchase price of the from Union Carbide Corporation was $16,500 as indicated by tax stamps the deed in the 'county clerk's office. Each member to bring their own individual Bible. The -Scripture was given out and one who found it first won the scramble. The purpose was "to teach the Books of the Bible, to find certain make the Bible more familiar to the young people.
