Fire destroyed feed and barber shops COZAD, Neb. broke out in the Peden Barber Shop and spread into the adjoining Demilt's Feed and Seed Store early Friday, destroying both. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, and owners of the property were not able to estimate their losses.

The fire was spotted by city police and raged out of comrci for nearly three hours. Firemen battled the blaze in sub-freezing temperatures with about four inches of snow on the ground. The fact that there was no wind kept the blaze from spreading into an adjoining two-story home and into the main business district. Only two feet separated the building from a furniture store, but the latter was not damaged. The building was described as a complete loss.

The feed store managed to salvage only a truck. Mr. and Mrs. John Votroubek Barneston, were shopping in Be atrice this week. Beatrice Dally Sun, Beatrice, Dec.
