BECKLEY POST-HERALD, BECKLEY, W. THyBSDAY MORNING, MAT 17, S. Alderman, 78, Dies In Hospital COVINGTON, Va. (RNS) Stonewall Alderman, 78, of Cov- died Tuesday night in a. Covington hospital.

He lived with the D. N. Byers family in Covington since 1905 and was a member of the Fletcher Chapel Methodist Church. Bora in Greenbrier County, Oct. 1884, he was a son of the late Mr.

and Mrs, George Alderman. Surviving are two brothers, George of Glace. The funeral will be conducted in the R. M. Loving Funeral Home in Covington at 4 p.ni today with the Rev.

Leland S. Johnson and the Rev. C. L. Atkinson in charge.

Burial will be in Seldomridge, Ross Helmintoller, J. R. Plymal Nixon Mann, Dick Dudley, Bob Lockhart, Jack Richardson, and Eddie Alfred. Mrs. Steven Bennett Honored At Household Shower Annabelle Bennett.

Myers was accompanied to the hospital Saturday and Sunday by Mrs. Pearle Smith who visited Maurice C. Clark of Hinton, a patient for observation and at the hospital. Clark is chief dispatcher at Hinton for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. Students Named Contest Winners MEADOW BRIDGE (RNS) Five students of Meadow Bridge High School have been named winners of the third annual Facit Accuracy Contest.

They are Miss Carolyn Gwinn and Bruce Cadle, juniors, and Miss Carolyn Arritt, Miss Barbara Farley, and Miss Kay Bailes, seniors. The medals are given by Facit. Inc. of New York to the writer of the perfect copy in each class. Last year, these medals were given to individual winners in more than 8,000 classes in the United States.

Arch Knighton, EAST "'RAINELLE' Curtis Clyde Rudd, 60, of East Rainelle died Wednesday in his home. Death was attributed to a heart attack. A coal miner, he was born Feb. "23, '1902, at Winter Park, a 'son of the late Vernon C. and Mary Crone Rudd.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane McClung of East Rainelle and Mrs. Barbara Orndorff of Oberlin, Ohio; four sons, Edward of Carl, Charles of Charleston, Timothy of Fort Meade, and William of East Rainelle; a sister Clara Crist of Oak Hfll; two brothers, Clifford of Leivasy and Roy Rudd of Oak Hill; a half brother, Junior Bays of Oak Hfll; and seven grandchildren. WilliamSmith Dies; Rites Slated Friday (RNS) Funeral services for William Jackson Smith, 86, of Danese will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday in the White Oak Methodist Church at Landisburg with the Rev. Victor P. Tenney and the Rev.
