Wednesday. The accident occurred on Temple Street near Twelfth Avenue when the vehicle Carson was driving ran over a hill. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $150.

A report was given by Kenneth Wood on a meeting held recently relative to formation of a special class for exceptional children in this area. It was announced that a group of representatives from local organizations plan to meet with the Fayette County Board of Education in efforts to get a special teacher for the approxl mately 16 children. John L. Witt Jr. discussed the purchase of special Americanism cards for distribution by members.

He volunteered to secure prices of printing and is to report back at-the next meeting. Refreshments were prepared by auxiliary members, Mrs. William R. Hesse and Mrs. Harry H.

Aliff. A vote to reopen the club facilities on Tuesday and Thursday nights was made at the regular meeting of the board of directors of LaFayette Club 49, American Legion in Fayetteville. The meeting was held Monday night following the legion meeting in the Legion Home on Maple Avenue. The treasurer was authorized to work out the salary adjustment with Club Manager Lewis Baldry. A decision was made to continue the policy of closing the clubroom during post meetings.

Permission was granted for the Fayetteville Junior Chamber of Commerce to meet at the Legion Home on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Following a discussion, the post voted to purchase paint for a portion of the clubrooms. William R. Hesse and Jesse Williams volunteered to apply the paint 'before the 7th District Convention. Following proper motion, the treasurer was authorized to purchase the food for the lunch for the District Convention and to pay the Auxiliary Unit for preparation of the meal.

Herndon Students Enter Contest Two girls from Herndon High School have entered the "Miss Wyoming County Easter Seals of 1962" contest. They are Barbara Henderson of Covel (left) and Phyllis Angle of Bud. Barbara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vance Carson Henderson of Covel.

She is a senior at Herndon High School, has been a member of the Sub Debs, Student Council, Futures Business Leaders of America, annual staff, Booster Club and band. She has held the office of secretary in the Sub Debs and vice president of the Boosters Club. She also received the Senior Superlative "Best Looking." Phyllis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Angle of Bud.

She is a senior at Herndon High School and has been a cheerleader, member of the Senior Tri-Hi- Student Council, Boosters Club and is now treasurer of the FBLA. G. Nutter of West Union. MOUNT HOPE (ENS) The deacons, deaconness, and members of the executive board of the Woman's Mission Society of the Mount Hope Baptist Temple met at the church Monday evening. Plans were discussed concerning how to conduct the greeters and the visitation program which will be sponsored at the church. It was decided to have the list of greeters posted on the bulletin board complete for the remainder of this year.

The visitation program will be held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. The couple was 16 by the Rev. MULLENS (RNS)-Mrs. Roger Hall was honored night with a household shower held in the home of Mrs. Rodney Miller.
